My 858 sux

My problem is that I am woefully out of shape. My stamina is almost negative. I've started hitting the gym but it'll still take time. It's either that or start smoking crack, but that's even more expensive than snowmobiles.
I am in the same boat. It is a very bad sign when you are completely gassed getting your gear on lol.

Well you boys need to hunt elk in the dang fall! Then you can get all winded and tired before the season starts lol! My wife asked why o bought new bibs this year and I told her mine where cold but it’s cause I can’t button them lol! Yahaha! At least we’re out there trying! Can’t wait to try a 858! Hopefully I can this season and who know if I win the Montana millionaire ( local lottery) I’ll just pick one up lol

Was thinking it was clutching but by the end of the day it was falling on its face and threw me over the bars once
Seems like I end up with duds every time

I was just curious if you found the source of the bog and correction for it.

The internet is saying it’s a combo of clutching and mapping. Say it’s a epa thing and now guys are flashing them and doing clutch stuff and fixing it. This is all instagram and fb and I actually don’t k ke the real deal but you could call freshies built in Montana they are doing souped up cat stuff (I see their posts) there’s a twin rail turbo build on here somewhere that surly get some attention lol

A few thing I've noticed to check for and some have already been mentioned.

1. After 40 miles, my oil tank had nearly consumed 1/2 of the oil in it. Clearly going through a bunch of oil during break-in.

2. My EGT sensor was finger loose after the second ride. Noticed when swapping out the can.

3. There is an issue with the power valves binding. Like mentioned, a slight bend of the bracket will correct it for a smoother operation.

I jumped on my sons for a couple minutes Saturday. Wow! Is all I can say. I see some can’t tell much difference between it and the ascender, but I sure could. It feels way more stable in snow with no base. And I could definitely feel the centralized weight also. I like it!

Muskoka's new video dropped today. One of his riding buddies has a blue Catalyst. Doesn't seem to be bogging. In fact, there's a great drone shot starting around 35:00 of it climbing a fun looking hill and then coming back down.

Didn't look that spectacular. Not impressed.

Yep I saw that one. Looked like it ran great. I do need to check my power valve cables though.

So after bending the bracket. Re set your servo to all the way down then you should be good to go

But how exactly do you reset the servo?
You can manually move the motor. I moved mine a number of times to make sure the rod cleared after bending the bracket. But I need to look at it tonight to make sure I set it back to the idol position as DDecker mentioned.

Take the right side panel off and watch it cycle immediately after you start it

Cat will never do enough for anyone it seems. So what if good riders are able to go along the same places as great riders on turbos. It’s just the curse of the cat. Good news is it looks as if their parent company may not care as much about them as they thought. Who knows it may be a dying breed.
