Installing Hardcore boards on my 2025 ZR 858

Has anyone installed the Hardcore boards on a 2025 ZR 858?

I am having trouble getting them to line up with the rivet holes. On my sled, there is a plate over front skid bolt hole. The plate is riveted on and the bottom rivet pushed the boards out so they don' line up on the bottom rivet holes from the old boards Also, there is a black torx screw that ties into an aluminum piece underneath on the skid frame. This bolt isn't shown on the directions to remove, but you have to to get the Hardcore boards to sit flush. I ended up driling a hole in the back side of the board so the bottom rivet will not interfere with the boards. However, if you remove the black screw next to the rivet holes, the board then will sit flush. However, to drill into the underside of the boards for the other bolt removed, is so close to the edge of the board it doesn't have adequate edge distance. I attached some pictures with a blue arrow pointing to these 2 items.

Is that a factory reinforcement plate? I have heard they don’t have one from the factory and people need to buy/build their own?

I did drill a hole on the backside of the Hardcore boards so the rivet on the plate sits in this hole. It allows for the Hardcore running boards to be flush against the wall of the skid frame. However, the torx screw is in the way and elevates the bottom of the running board. I can remove it but can not install it back in. If I come in underneath and drill hole in running board through this hole, it is very close to the edge distance as the running board is not very wide. Another option is to notch out the running board for the screw, but this is quite a bit of metal. This is the right one for my sled, but doesn't fit good. You have to line up the running board for the rivets in the frame.

From what I’ve seen the mtn sleds don’t have the plate. The boards are probably meant for the mtn sleds and probably need modifications.

There are two different hardcore boards offered from Arctic cat, one for M sleds and a different part number for Riot and ZR's. I see you are attempting install on a ZR, do you have the M sled boards?

BDX has plate kits for the M sleds. I thought maybe the ones for the ZR could be used but they look different.

I’m pretty sure they are different looking at the rear lower support where it bolts to the axle. The m looks longer and more down and the zr looks shorter and back. Hard are some pictures first the riot in orange and then the blue m.

Well, I got a hold of the Arctic Cat vendor that I ordered my Hardcore running boards from, Country Cat. I asked them if they had done an install of these which they got back later to me with a picture of the install. They installed them on top of the black screw and you can see a gap. I elected to grind out a recess so the screw could pass through and got them to sit flush. The job was trial and fit and a little sloppy, but you can't see it anyways. They riveted up much better and turned out nice.
