Hatchers Pass- Palmer side

Well, Hatchers is now screwed for riding. The next thing you know you will have to stand in line to buy a ticket in order to run a chute. I can hear it now number 685 at chute seven. Announcing rider 685 at chute seven. Last call for rider 685 at chute seven!

See what happens when someone innocently posts a map of a good riding area. Done, toast..

You Soldotna guys stay in Soldotna. We don't need no outta area guys riding our secret areas. ;)

AKsummit did draw that map a few years back. We actually rode with Wild Bill (Turbo Tims dad) a few days before he drew it up. You have to really know where you are going to get back there. By the way, Ray Pass was named after me. I plead the 5th on that one, but I am sure there is a video of it floating around. Keep in mind it was my first year of riding.:eek::D Thanks Mini for the memories!:o

now thats just wrong...lol..how do I explain to the kids when we go riding up there ..hey this is called RAY's PASS..its for a guy on snowest but I really dont know the story(it had to be funny though because the name stuck)?

You have no idea. LMFAO! Lets just say I rolled my sled down that shute 3 times in a role before I made it to the top and over. It was like slow motion. It was wet your pants funny!:eek::D

We have all done crazy funny chit, i just did it three times in a row. Good times though with good peps! :beer;:beer;
 
Went to Archangel Valley yesterday and had a great second ride of 2009 LOL I'm starting to get more strength in my left arm; in a few more weeks maybe I won't be riding like such a little girl :)

The boys played around on some little jumps and drops ~ found awesome deep pow in the higher bowls. Oddly to me the snow seemed lacking for this area this time of year - it has been several years since I have gone there, but I remember the snow being stupid deep and most of the boulders we saw yesterday would have been covered completely before... I hope this storm today dumps a couple feet up there.

Its been snowing since this morning and we have around 8" here in Wasilla and it's still coming down good! I bet Hatchers (Area 51 for some) is getting pounded :D

A kick a$$ snow day and I am stuck in the house per the wife's orders puppy sitting.. :mad:

Theultrarider is probably tired of hearing me complain so I thought I would try to drum up some sympathy here... :(

Oh no wait, EVERYONE is out riding that's right! That's it the wife is shut off for a month.. I'll show her making me puppy sit on a snow day !!

We went in off Shrock on Wednesday and there were a lot of bare spots going up. We didn't run up cable hill but took the side trail around it. The top was rock hard and wind blown.

Still coming down pretty good :D We are getting some good snow so I am sure the Willow side will be a blast!! Fresh POOOWWWDDDEERRRR! Woo Hoo

I think I read a post were up around Willow they had around 10" this morning so heading back the Willow Fishhook might be the ticket!

Speak for your self! It went right over the top of us here on the Kenai again. We got an inch or two this morning and now it has been trying to rain off and on for the past hour. :mad:
