858s hitting the line!!!

I've always loved Arctic Cat Lime Green, but it seems like they made the shade lighter... that and the yellow accents kill it for me. I ended up with the blue one.

Dealer called yesterday, mines in! Will give it a few more weeks before I have them assemble it, still no eta on the g8 gauge and hood panel.

If mine shows up soon, I will plan to go get mine the weekend of Oct 13th. It'll take my CU at least a week to process the loan and send out a check.

Got mine already. G8 shows up on Tuesday, already have the hood piece. Dealer sent front shocks both for the same side in the box, so had to switch that out. The ski alignment was dead nuts on out of the box. First I've seen that happen. I see no way of getting a cooker on this thing, so went ahead and ordered a Diamond S can. EarthX LW battery off my 22 fits, and even some room to spare next to it for some storage. Overall the fit and finish is pretty good on this sled.

What is this "hood piece" that people are talking about? And what is the p/n of that EarthX battery? I'll need to get one, since I ordered electric start.

Looks like ETZ14C or ETX36D. 14C is a bit smaller and might be better for colder weather. Here is a link with some details:

I also preordered diamond s but here is what my wife’s cooker on her 600 looks like, had to trim some of the heat shield but it works great.

I'm holding off on a can. The MBRP site sells one too (for like $400) but they say specifically that the 600 version is different from the 858 version, so I want to be sure the Diamond S and others are going to work.

I wish RPM would make a titanium can for this new Cat. I like their sound a lot better than Diamond S.

I won't waste my money on any other type of cans other than ti. They all just rust after a season or two, ceramic coated too.

I was thinking of doing that too. But does the cooker then press up against the side panel?

Speedwerx has a Ti L2 for $700 that claims drops 16.35lb. He stresses multiple times not to buy it if you don't want loud! Also said the 600 and 858 cans are different and want different back pressure.

To keep your ceramic coated pipes and cans looking good use aluminum wheel polish on them once a year. Buffs of the thin spots of surface rust starting and helps seal the surface from water for a while. Just don't clean it all off with carb cleaner or something when done.

I wonder how these will do in hard/low snow conditions on overheating.

Cat and Poo should really offer a detachable snow flap like Doo has.
