858s hitting the line!!!

i have a 600 catalyst and ordered the 858. if there was no 858 i would ride the 600 with no problems. liked it better than my ascender and way better than the axis and g4 in our group. the axis was a stage 2 and then owner wants to buy my 600.
That is pretty wild I had a stage 2 2017 Axys and I really thought it was head and shoulders better than my buddies who were on stock 2018 and 2020 Axys. Was it just that the platform was that good the power loss wasn't a big deal or was platform great and 600 fairly strong too?

power felt good, we dragged across a big meadow and it was dead even till 50 or so then he pulled ahead. the cats are geared lower so lower top speed. The chassis is just so easy to ride its more leaning and pushing with a one foot or the other than it is wrong foot forward or pulling it over. it just goes where you want it to with very minimal effort. also the track hooks up really well.

I'll have to try and find someone on a 858 to ride with this winter and swap back and forth. I really felt like the matryx was a big step forward chassis wise and obviously the power substantially different riding at 10,000+ in Colorado. My only complaint is the power is definitely not linear with a noticeable lull before you feel it spooled and suddenly ready to claw up anything. I only rode stock last year so this year with clutching/pipe and a tune I'll see what it does for the initial launch. Then I've heard the powerflow valve is really going to improve that "lag" feel from the turbo.

I'm getting pretty excited for snow just typing that all out let's ride!
 
What's up with the blue? Looks a whole lot darker and muddier than the powder blue they showed us during snowcheck. Maybe its just the lighting in the factory.
 
The blue is way better looking in person. A lot darker than the crappy websight pictures. I really like it. This factory picture is one of the better photos I’ve seen that shows the true color.

Some guys could get a free sled with custom graphics and still gripe about those two things,

Don't think anyone is b!tching. Some of us never got to see a Catalyst in person. I asked about the blue because I already bought a new helmet based on the color I saw online. No big deal, I'm sure it will look great together.

I love the blue in the factory pix! MUCH better than the powder blue. Now... how badly am I going to lose my butt when I sell my 300-mile-old '23 Khaos 850? Sigh.

Depends what you paid for it I suppose LOL. probably looking at $14-15,000 these days. Crazy that snowchecks still going for 22,000

I have that same helmet, and I 509 blue camo onesie, I ordered the top of the line blue mountain cat to match my gear, at least that’s what I tell people when they ask why I ordered the most expensive model.
