Letting the BBB in your area know of your situation will only get them a complaint listed on their record there but unfortunately will not get investigated. That's not what they do. But enough folks complaining in many areas will get some attention.
Think about it, how many folks call the BBB before buying a product to check out the company's reputation.
Much more can be done here on this forum and others to get the word out.



The BBB did more for me in 1 week than I was able to do for myself in 5. If they get call after call from the BBB it will let them know people are taking action.I doubt they are even watching this thread.

I also run a small business (on Ebay-snowmobile products), and my philosophy is exactly the same as yours. I treat all of my customers the same way that I want to be treated, and I go out of my way to help someone that needs help.

Like I said I own a small business on the side I understand you can get over your head, but the bottom line is to treat everyone like you want to be treated. I get my butt chewed by my wife sometimes for giving better deals than I end up making, or going out of my way to help on warranty issues. But people will remember that, and they will ALWAYS remember when you screw them. I know that I would not have my small buisness if it weren't for the people buying my product.. AND THAT MY FRIEND is ETHICS!!!!

We all get on here and banter one another, but when it comes down to helping each other out most will run to help! Of course not the one who screwed you on a sled sale. Just look at when someone looses a friend in an avalanche, most of you don't even know the person, but we all care! The poor guy who's wife and childeren were killed in a car crash. people were responding from everyplace imagineable saying they would be on his door step to lend a hand!! That is what this is about!! I got screwed and so have a lot of others, But if by having this thread saves 1 guy from the same problems My word has worked.
 
wow glad i don't own anything but a boss seat(which is sweet,) but i can see i'll be taking it to get recovered at the local shop this summer. Was thinking a high rise, but now after reading this whole thread. I'm not going to support companies that aren't willing to work me or stand behind their product. I don't have very many problems but when i do I want someone smarter with more knowlegde than me to help get me through it. But i could be outta line too, cause i normally like getting help on a fairly fast lvl.

I now know one sledding group that will not be supporting a company who leaves pisses on their customers.

Wow, reading all of this brings back some memories. Ok, so Chet is gone and some other guy who was there is also gone. Derek who was there before Chet is now gone, and Marky was was there trying to patch things up with customer service got shafted too.

It would be a rare day for Jim to actually get on the phone and talk to a customer. Jim is a bit on the arrogant side, and he'll show confidence right up until the very end.

Customer service is crutial. You treat customers fairly, & employees fairly and they will take care of you. However, in my opinion, this is not the case here. Ive never seen more dedicated employees and customers, only to be shafted. Oh Im sure the employees got new jobs and are much happier, But you have to ask yourself this .... how long do you think BOSS can keep that up?

Its a house of cards in my opinion. Why invest if that kind of drama? After all, isnt that why we have our hobbies .... to get away from that?

I've heard of their service going down the tubes, and I've heard of dealers and mod shops ditching their products...but I have had GREAT luck with their service.

I love their seats (which has been said on here) and I have been well taken care of.
Gus went out of his way on TWO seats I've owned to help me get lined out. He traded out my 2 year old seat for a new one and added the shovel and nitrous pouch...all for $50.

I had a little problem with their nitrous product (that was my fault) and when I called to get parts for my nozzles, they got it to me without delay.

I've had great luck with them, but I go through Gus Diaz and nobody else.
 
I just sent Boss a link to this thread, I suggest MANY others do the same.

I got a reply from Gus who said that while he does not have the decision making ability on this subject he would pass the link on to someone who does.

As I said. MANY more should be bringing this to the attention of the owners of this company.

One or two people complaining are just a distraction.

Dozens would make a statement and could make a difference.
 
Class Action Legal Solution

Add my name to the list of those not supporting a company that acts like they can take or leave your concerns.

I have a BOSS seat on one of my sleds and had some issues with it. Sent them pix and discription of what was wrong... they sent back a note that said, "you just have to work with it." Big help, NOT !!!

Was thinking of the NOS but that will never happen now. And like a lot of folks on here, I have more than one sled... and a lot of friends with sleds... that equals a lot of money going anywhere but to BOSS.

I think another option was R&M. If you know others, this is a good place to offer up competitor's name so people know they have other options than BOSS... who by the way, SUCKS.

With all the complaints and lots of money taken and products not delivered, why not look at a class action methods? I'm not a lawyer so not sure what would be involved but it seems like a company taking money from many and providing promised goods and service to very few is a legal problem...

I was saving up a few bucks to install a boss seat on my M next season. But after everything I have heard about boss and jim the owner I will not be purchasing a boss seat. I think I will look into www.skidperformance.com
next season. Im sure they would appreciate the business. I agree boss sucks. Wont be seeing any of my money. I hope they will have the balls to reply to this thread and straiten this whole problem out.:eek:
 
I had the boss nos on my m7, it worked twice and worked good then it blew all the lines out of the fittings. I reinstalled it my self in stead of the idiots @ out door connection and it worked a couple more times and blew the lines again, threw it in the trash were in belonged and bought the boondocker box and twins.

Why? Who really cares enough? Should we be the one's to tell them their business practices are bad? Why would we want to try to help them make their business better? Let it take it's own course.
