BOSS NOSS you Suck!!!!!!

Only more reasons why I will never mod a sleds power plant!!:mad:
I am going to vent here! I will start from the begining. I purchased a TFI box from a dealership 2 years ago, I wanted to run No2, and I had a BMP motor setup. I didi alot of research and the Boss kit seamed to have a great No2 system. So I pay $350.00 and away I go.

I get the box dialed in and it worked (other than the wires are so short it won't go to the handle bar bracket) Then I go to install the nitrous, They forgot to program the system for the No2. So I have to send the box to Boss and get it re-programmed(3 wks). I get it back and now it won't even send the proper signal to the injectors!!

I call Chet and he says it has to be a bad box, send it back to me and I will get you another one! By now it's the end of the season. and I am not happy. During the summer I call several times to check on the new box. They tell me to wait they have a updated box coming out.

During the wait I asked to have the wires lenghtened so I can wire it correctly, Roughly November comes around, no box???? I call and talk to Gus and Chet both. About 3 weeks go by and I have a brand new box with extended wires.

I neately wire the box in the right way, I hook everything up exactly right. I statr my sled and the lights don't scroll, the sled is missing in the PTO cyl. I trouble shoot the whole system. nothing works. I call they tell me what to do, nothing works I call back. They explain to me that they sent it to me in TEST mode and I need to send it back to have them fix it!!!

Finally I had enough I have been more than patient I allowed for alot more than I should have. I tell them I want my money back. I go from talking to Gus to be forwarded to Randy, I explain to him the deal, he gives me the car salesman B.S. I tell him I just want a refund. Not for the No2 system just the TFI box. He says He needs a copy of a reciept showing I purchased it from a ligitimate company and not off the internet. No problem I provide a receipt.

weeks go by and I contact Randy he says he's just waiting for a RMA# or something like that give him a couple days. 1 week later I call him and he tells me he no longer works for Boss I need to deal with Gus!

I call and try to get ahold of Gus, I ask to speak to Chet, Chet is no longer working for Boss?? Gus finally speaks to me and says they will not refund my money I need to go through who ever I bought it from?? I ask to speak to the head noodle and a Chic gets on the phone and gives me a mouth of crap! says the owner will not speak to me and THEY will not refund my money they will not credit me anything!

I explained that no dealer in thier right mind would take back an electrical part after 2 years! she starts running her mouth some more! Starts to give me an attitude? Who the hell do you think you are??

So I ask you all. I have expressed my concearns about this before Some of you responded prior to this latest $h!t dealing. Do you think I should have a dealer refund thier crap after 2 years do you think its thier problem or Boss's? By the amount of people who complain about their customer service I don't feel I am the only one that notices they SUCK when it comes to service! They might sell some great products but thier mentality can kiss my fury red A$$! And if any of the mentioned people have anything to add please feel free I would love to hear your horse $$$$. Bottom line stand behind your product. you FKng cowards!!

How about everyone else? Are the majority of the problems with the TFI box or the SMART BOX?

I'm not trying to hijack your thread spook, justtrying to sort thru the mahem and figure out if there are more problems on carb versus EFI or if it matters at all and it just plain sucks.
 
Just wanted to re-emphasis on how much BOSS sucks.
I wrote ealier that eventhough I had a 1 year warranty I still had to pay to get the rip fixed in my seat...not really a big deal since it was only $50.
I sent the seat in 1st part of June and here we are in Oct. and there's 3ft of snow in the hills right now and I still have no seat. I call BOSS every 2 weeks and I always get the same BS about it's going out this week.

I can relate...I needed an internal fitting (valve to regulator NPT fitting) for my BOSS NOSS control box and it took me 18 tries to get someone to answer their phone as it went to voice mail every time I called but you couldn't leave a voice mail because the mailbox was full....The person I finally spoke to said they had to go clear it with the production supervisor before they could sell me that specific part because it was internal to the box and would call me right back.

5 days later and still no call. I proceeded to use the "Contact" information on the website and emailed them at info@boss-noss.com which if you click on it will redirect you to chet@boss-noss.com but later found out that this was an email address for a former employee....so don't think you are going to email them and get a response (FYI...I just checked and they still haven't fixed this). I then tried faxing them the information with pictures and never received a response.

I had a buddy of mine who was in the area go pay them a visit at there store front and ask about the status of the part. they tried to play dumb like they were waiting on information from me and said I never faxed or emailed them the information. He handed them a copy of the emails and faxes that i had sent them and then they realized that he knew everything and proceeded to make excuses. They finally went in the back and came out with the fitting in hand and gave him the part for free for my troubles.

So moral of the story.....find someone who can go there in person and you will most likely get what you are looking for....otherwise, you are SOL!!!
 
Boss seems to go back and forth on their service. Have really crappy service for awhile, then it gets really good for about 6 months and then it falls off again. I have had it both ways, not willing to take my chances anymore. I also do not like the way they bully (very nice term) other seat dealers. They keep the corner on the market because threaten and/or sue these new companies. It is just not right.
