Buffalo is small.
The hotel in ten sleep is questionable at best. And beings you requested to be within waking distance of a steakhouse and not a McDonald's. I'm assuming your prolly not a bed bug and food poisoning kind of guy.
Snowmow I have bit of problem with your comments on ten sleep as I own one of the two motels in town go to are Web site www.tensleepmotel.com and check out are house and apartment .If they are not nice enough for you you must really be high class person ! Are motel rooms are older but clean with no bed bugs. The other motel in town is clean also. The campground in town has places to stay also that are spotless . There is two very good places to eat in town and you not going to get food poisoning ! So I suggest you get your facts straight as you not even know how many places in town .Call the motel and manager will show you house and apartment and I'm sure they will be good enough for you. If you're hungry I will pay for your meal at either place to show you that you not going to get food poisoning !

Way to go Snomow, u just pissed off half the town of Tentsleep!
I am not mad one bit at snowmow ! He made fine . Yes we are not the people who owned the motel years ago. They hated everyone and treated people very bad . They were in bad health and underfunded. We have been getting more and more slender coming out and the towns people are happy when I bring big groups out as they spend good money in town that is slower in winter than summer. We have spent lots of money at the log cabin motel in the house and in tons of clean up of junk that should of been gone years ago. We tore down 4 buildings down at the motel. We also bought the old ugly white gas station by motel which is gone . We bought the trailer park by motel and that gone also. We spent lots just getting some rock on lot so not walking on mud all the time. The motels rooms are old and dated but clean. They are next on the list to be gone and replaced also . To be honest I had more fun out there before bought the motel as now have more head pain ! But most of the people I meet out there make it worth it. And yes we are sled friendly as I own 5 of them. That how I got started out there was sledding. Like i said snowmobile has been forgiven by me as what he said could of been true years ago .It's a fun little western town with lots of good people trying to make a living. Like I said we will treat you as good as we can. And we are looking at camera system for the people who want to leave there trailers out there and not pull them so far. We are on main street and have good light and never have had a problem with people messing with others stuff but all it take is one idiot to ruin it.

Not only have I never had a bad meal in Ten Sleep but had a couple damn good ones. Stayed at Burr's place too and I'll be back.
As of Thursday the south side hasn't received much new snow. I have no idea about the north side.
Rode the south side again today. There was one heck of an inversion going on today. 30 on top 7 in buffalo. Good snow but it was heavier than expected. There was about 8 inches of new.

I rode the south horns a lil bit last week. The snow was ok, it had a crust on top and sugar underneath. Kinda hard to ride in and really easy to get stuck. Not much base either. When the sled broke throu the crust, it would go all the way to the ground. Hit a lot of rocks and track was full of sagebrush when we left. We didn't go very far with that kind of riding.
Rode the north horns yesterday, by granite pass. Found a great base and about a foot of fresh powder. Had to stick to the east side of the slopes to find the real good stuff. The north horns defiantly has more snow especially around high country and bald mountain.
The heat inversion was crazy yesterday too! I seen 31 degrees up by bear and it was about 6 degrees when we got off the mountain.
Went up Sun rode untouched snow and found good snow seen almost 40 degrees up top and 1 in Sheridan when we got back down, seen a few little spots break so be careful. Prob will get pretty hard as this week is suppose to be very warm, have to hunt the trees

Spring is here! Still had a good time though, you can still find some pockets in the trees that are good. Here's a few pictures from some open hills. Hard to get pictures in the trees since nobody wants to stop playing long enough to get the camera out!

Bear lodge is reporting 15" this morning and still coming down. High country reporting 6" with wind. Looks like as of 6 am baldy snotel went up 6 inches and bone springs/shell creek went up 5 inches as well. Burgess junction snotel went up 15". Sucker creek went up 20"!!! Dome lake went up 15". Little goose up 13". Big goose up 15". So basically they got hammered last night! Wish i could go ride up red grade today!
