2013/14 Big Horns N/S Snow Conditions

Thanks to everyone at the Wyoming High Country Lodge for a great two night stay last weekend. Food, company, and hospitality were all great!

Worth the 12 hour ride? Thinking of killing a few days and want to come out on Sunday and ride Mon-Thur. Worth the trip from MN?

Nice pics. Plan on heading out in the morning. Trying to decide on Cooke or horns...anyone know how warm its been up top this week we are looking for some powder.

Hows the snow forecast looking out around Bear for next week? Thinking of making a last minute trip out there, getting there next Thurs morning and heading home Sun. I just don't want to drive 14-16 hours out there for bad conditions.

Its April man, you never know what your going to get. I would just go it sure beats sitting at home wishing you were there.

4 inches called for 2nite at bear. Any chance this could be 14 at high country? Just drove through from greybull to dayton. Looked pretty old and sticky. Was snowing hard in a few spots but hard to tell if itll add up.

Looks like the horns could get some snow this weekend anybody going up? I was going too but have to work hopefully it snows next weekend to would like to get one last ride.

I'm going up Wednesday and staying for a few days. Looks like the snow is settling fast! Hopefully we can find some still soft in the tree lines.

Sunday was great riding about 14 to 15 at bear and up to
18 to 20 in other places. hopefully it will stay cool till it all
gets ripped up.

Sitting up at bear lodge now. A few inches of fluff on top, enough to keep the sled cool. Found a foot of powder in the trees down south by Bruce mountian. Anything that has seen sunshine is pretty hard though. We came in early today and will probly leave early tomo instead of riding all day as planned.

We got some pretty good pictures. One plus about having "hero snow", its real easy to explore new areas and see a lot of new country. We have only ridden the horns a few years, so we have only seen the more common areas. This week we got a long way from the lodge and found some really good, secluded meadows to hit next year when there is more snow! Thank goodness for GPS or we would never find them again.

Been busy with work and haven't had a chance to check in here in a while. Just had this weekend open up, is there still any good riding in the Horns or am I better off heading to the Snowies?
