2018/19 Big Horns N/S Snow Conditions

Just got back Sunday from riding out of Bearlodge. Around the lodges the snow is a little low, but when you go south, southwest, west, and northwest we found waist to shoulder deep snow consistently. We had a great time. The new 850's rode very well. The ridges are mostly bare, but we got stuck plenty. Lot of avalanches so be safe.

I can mirror this report. We got back on 2/10 and had similar conditions. total snow depth was about 10" short of the same date range last year, but still pretty decent depths. found a lot of spots where it was pure sugar and you had to work to get around. no rocks on this trip. it was getting tracked up the last day, but a few inches and a good wind will take care of that.

We have always rode the highway a ways passed bear lodge and had good luck dropping off to the left and making our way.....usually find great snow always untouched!!!

Any condition updates?? Was looking at making the trip beginning of march. Any info would be much appreciated.

Thin and sugar. I thought SnowMow was gonna click his heels and order another secret Wyoming Storm!

Rode 1 and 2nd. Most rocks are covered and anything in the open is set up. Trees are sugary and deep, have a plan! Find some wind protected areas for best snow. Went by High Country one day and south and west another. Was a good trip overall.

Rode yesterday, you can find snow
Lots of tracks but not all of it is tracked
The last storm put about six inches over those tracks Makin for a rodeo

It was mid 20s when we unloaded around 10:30. Only road for about 1/2 today because we had a sled go down in the group.

Trying to decide if bailing on Rabbit Ears & head there. Mid 30’s forecasted for next 3 days here.

It was mid 30s when we loaded up around noon. Snow was starting to get sticky and and slimy in the lot. There was a lot of sleds up there today the lot was full and they where parking on the road.
