That 858 has some really good track speed![]()
44-45 mph of track speed when he was pulling straight uphill is horrible? I get it's no turbo but that's a very similar track speed to 146 9r'sWhat vid did you watch? That’s a 146 2.5”, that’s horrible track speed with 6” of fresh.

Easy to get huge track speed in fluff pow, setup snow brings track speed down but forward momentum goes up. Traction is more important than track speed. If I wanted to brag about track speed I would cut the lugs to 1" and go 100 mph according to the guage. Need to use GPS function on all these fancy new guages and see how fast we really do go in climbing these hill. Quick to spool up track for momentum and traction is very important if anyone starts nit picking my answer.Snow conditions of the day affect track speed significantly. I've seen everything from 42-55 on my old 900.
I could be wrong but if you are climbing a 45 degree hill at 50 mph ground speed won't your gps only read 25 mph because half your speed is horizontal and half your speed is verical? Or does a gps take into account your vertical speed?Easy to get huge track speed in fluff pow, setup snow brings track speed down but forward momentum goes up.
