Any M riders get to ride the new RMK last season?

guess I better apologize for what I said. I went and sat on one of those new Pro's yesterday....WOW! thats all I can say. I jumped back on a cat and felt awkward. Now I'm trying to sell my 07 m8 to buy a pro. I may be joining the polaris dogs! If all else fails with that polaris I'll have my 10' to ride as a back up.

Took my 10' m8 out for a short break in ride with my riding partner's 11' rmk pro 800. Wow that pro feels great on a hard pack trail, way better than the M. I will post up some no BS reports on these 2 as we ride this year. Both sleds will be set up very close. M will get a skinz can (for weight reduction) & clutch work. Pro will see some clutching, probably won't get a can for now. M 153 claw, pro 155.

there aint no bs about it being a step forward for polaris, lets just hope its reliable! are you willing to be that tester?

thats all it amounts to.

i hope the best for polaris the industry needs people like polaris making drastic ballsey changes to further the industry. and clinch the market thats after "change"

i mean not everyone can get number 1 sales on a 5 year old chassis like cat hahaha.

but cats got the people that want "reliable, flickable, and powerful"

there both sick, hope to get a chance to flick a pro around this year on someone elses risky coin choice. hehehe

I don't like that the PRO still has a sway bar. I don't much care for it on the IQs. You can really tell its there vs an M.

Anyone know if you can fit a 153 Powerclaw on the 155 RMK rails?

5 min and a saw.... And IMO the powerclaw is WAY over rated.

I was looking at the PRO and it looks like it would be very easy to remove the sway bar and keep it intact in case you wanted to reinstall.

I was extremely impressed with Powerclaw on my 09 M8. The thing just keeps going and going. At least in the powder. Not as much hookup in the hardpack as the 2.5" Extreme, but I will always trade powder performance for hardpack hookup.

I am leaning towards sticking with Cat, mostly because the I have to go 100 miles to find a good Polaris dealer. Local place is the worst dealer I have ever dealt with.

Also, a new unproven sled, may require trips to that dealer.

Local Cat dealer that is 5 minutes away is great.

Also, 143 hp doesn't impress me. My M7 was that and I could buy one for almost 1/3rd what the Pro goes for.

Also contemplating running boost on a leftover Cat. We will see what the bank says:)

Ditto as in WAY WAY WAY over rated. Got molested on my 153" '10 M8 last year on a regular basis by a 154" and 146" :face-icon-small-dis XP. It was sad how much better they were. I'm sure someone will tell me that my skid needed adjusting or some other garbage like that, but the bottom line is if I wanted a hole to China the P Claw is the track to dig it.

I think most people will find that they don't need to remove the sway bar. The sled gets on it side fast and has good balance when there.

The Pro Ride would tear that M7 up. My D7 was much better than any M7 I rode and my D7 wouldn't hold a candle to overall power of the Pro Ride. Maybe up top, but the Pro comes on strong everywhere.

The Pro is for real. I rode it yesterday in 3 feet of powder and Polaris did a great job with this sled. It responds to very little rider feedback and I could put it anywhere I wanted yesterday. This was my friends sled.

I ride an '09 M1000 and just bought a 2010 M8 RG turbo. I'm the biggest non-brand loyal guy there is. I've owned sleds from all 4 manufacturers. I rode the Pro in the spring and I wasn't too impressed then. However after a ride in the powder yesterday, it really is a very fantastic chassis. Beginners will have much more confidence riding a Pro and experienced riders are going to get into some wild places.

I've said that the M chassis is the best for sidehilling. The Pro is just as good or better. I didn't have to fight the rear end trying to wash out like the Edge and IQ chassis did. Just point and go and the Pro is stupid easy to ride. On the trail the Pro is sweet. It didn't push in corners and the sled followed the ski's effortlessly. My 1000 felt like a snowplow on the trail after riding the Pro.

All in all, I think the Pro is a fantastic sled. Kudo's to Polaris. Personally, I'd like to see Polaris work on a bigger motor. I'm used to much more power and in the long pulls the Pro will fall short, but against other stock 800's I feel that it is going to be just fine. The Pro with a Turbo is going to be sick!

Have fun Pro guys......I think this may be your year.

I'm sticking with Cat.

I have always loved my M chassis and I'm finding it hard to give it up. Especially with a proven chassis and engine.

I've also got a few other reasons, but I hope the PRO works out for Polaris and improves their reliability track record.

A good buddy of mine has a 163 PRO RMK so we will do some comparisons for sure.
