That's like calling the KKK a gentlemans club.
I'm not defending the Reverend, but do a little research on him. Guy has been preaching since he got out of the service after tours in Southeast Asia and a stent at Bethesda Naval. 20 plus years of preaching and the media focuses on about 30 seconds. I'd think if he was that big of a heretic to the US he ought to have said something else during all those years.
BTW he was in country when Clinton, Bush and Cheeney were working the system trying to avoid service. Not that I'm defending his actions, but what about the entire body of preaching. Just something to think about, thats all.

There are reports that he has ALWAYS been that way.
Oprah quit his church after just a couple months because of his sermons.
The only reason Obama quit the church is because of public outrage at the tapes. He figured he would lose less votes by distancing himself from the paster versus continuing to embrace him.
interesting you should say that. I think milehigh as well as everyone else would be interested to know that the KKK started as a Legion or VFW of sorts for Confederate soldiers.

Reality would be a big smack in the face if you ever found yourself in this position!
Maybe he has, or has been close to people that have been in that situation. How about telling us more about you point of view/beliefs besides stating that he isn't in touch with reality.
I tend to agree with the belief that it is a mothers choice ultimately. Though, I would hope that both father and mother would come to a decision together as they are both responsible for the child. I would rather people have abortions instead of bringing a child into this world that they are unable to care/love/provide for.

I still say it's bad judgement. I will try one more case of you know the risks to consequences. Let's say you drink at the bar one night. You know that you could get into a car wreck and kill someone or wreck your car. Let's say you wreck your car and face 2 years due to the level you blew, etc. BY the abortion reasoning, since no other "life" is involved, you should be able to cop out of the jail time because it will wreck your tan and cause knew emotional stressors to enter your life. BUt this is acceptable since it's only "your life"
