A little comparison.. Boosted Viper vs Boosted PRO

I own a pro and viper, mine to be boosted next year but i've rode turbo pro and turbo viper back to back., just checked the odometers both got 250 miles each this season and the viper was down for over a week due to the bushings on reverse fork failing. Im happy with em both, they both have their strengths and weakness but come out fairly even. I love the 4 stroke power on the powder days, but I like my short track 2 stroke in the spring conditions. next year i'll be riding both sled turbo and one em will be hitting the road at the end of the season. my guess is the pro will.

I seriously doubt anyone is "scared" to try that sled. I think there are just a lot of Arctic Cat riders out there that know exactly what to expect out it and are shaking their heads at the enthusiasm exhibited for it just because now its a "Yamaha" and it's "new":face-icon-small-dis. Look at the ProClimb section and you can get all sorts of reviews of the chassis. The Viper is made up of components that have been on the market for several years already. People aren't "scared" of it. Why would they be? It's not like there's anything new to be scared of? You act like your such a martyr, doing the world some great favor by riding this outsourced snowmobile and putting up with mediocrity. You have an opinion, great. You can't hide the hard facts about the lack of innovation behind a light-hearted positive outlook.

If you continue to accept less from a company, don't expect them to deliver more.

I'm SO sorry I upset anyone about this :face-icon-small-con

Please, continue to inform the world of your experiences with this 5 year old sled and 8 year old engine. I'm sure everyone is dying to know more about them.:juggle:

Decent reviews here ^^^^^^ Only in the Viper section can you find Viper guys being honest about the Viper........

My 2 cents...

The Viper (boosted) and the M1100T cat are NOT the same sled. I own an M1100T with a bunch of $$$ into it, and I recently had the chance to ride an MPI boosted Viper. The Viper "feels" lighter out of the box, period. The 1100T can be made to feel the same, but that isn't how it comes from the dealer. In my house, we have a 2013 Pro with a bunch of $$$ into it, a 2013 800 Cat, and a 2013 M1100T. Each sled has their own unique personality, and unless you've ridden all of them, and evaluate without brand bias - it's not a fair comparison. I suspect a lot of people are jumping down CoyoteGirl's throat for no reason - having ridden both 2 and 4stokes I can tell you that a different riding style is necessary to handle a 4 stroke, especially once boosted. A 4S has something the 2S counterpart will never have: TORQUE. Are they heavier? Yes, but they aren't much heavier then sleds we rode 10 yrs ago, with 1/2 the horsepower.
So before everyone loses their mind over the fact that a 4S can work in the mountains, maybe ride one one with the blinders off, and an open mind. 4 strokes DO work in the mountains, it just takes a rider.

actually shut your dick holster

snowmobiles is an extremely touchy subject for incestual azz-play with a minor :face-icon-small-win

You did it to me, so I felt it was only fair. That button is there for a reason, why would you be exempt? You really like to drag sh*t up for everyone to see when you get a little bent over something. Since you're supposed to be the example setter and "head honcho" so to speak, I only treated you as you treated me.

I hope everyone sees the first pic I shared was of an M7000, not an 1100T, and also remembers my earlier post where I indicated we have an 1100 in our riding group. Basically, what I'm taking away from this is I can't compare the exact same chassis 4 stroke sled with a factory turbo to the viper, the viper isn't that great until it gets a turbo, but slightly lighter "feeling" than its pure breed cat counterpart with more HP out of the box.

Guys riding yamahas hoping for factory turbos on their 4 strokes and more HP out of the box riding a sled that has been being built with a factory turbocharged 4 stroke with 40 more HP by its original manufacturer for several years and discrediting that sled because it somehow isn't comparable or what their looking for.

You guys should just grow tails. You'd be far to busy chasing them to even own a sled.

I KNEW you would be back.
Just couldn't stay away!!

You are having entirely TOO MUCH FUN in this thread to pack up and go home. I was counting on you to come through.:face-icon-small-hap

All's fair in love and war.
And yes, I gave you ONE Red Thumb for ONE very specific post that I thought was really out of line. Not quite to the level of getting an infraction, but far enough over the top to deserve special note.

You guys always start wandering from the thread and start takin shots at me, but yet I'm always in the wrong. The thread wasn't doing anything after my last post, yet you perpetuate it by talking about me, and I'm not supposed to say anything.
