A little comparison.. Boosted Viper vs Boosted PRO

Interesting thoughts Brandy. I wonder how a 200hp pro would compare to a 200hp viper? in my experience the lower HP turbo 2strokes are more linear because they are easier to clutch with a less drastic change from off boost to on boost. my turbo iqr at 14lbs was brutal on boost but hit hard. my turbo pro at 10lbs felt like a stoke sled to me, just with more power.

A heavier version of the newest Cat chassis is better in the trees than the pro? Please....

this made me lol.

Im not saying it cant be done but the few times we've had AC's in our group we were able to drop all but one of them ... and he was working it to hang

So after a little comic relief from the beat down our "tuckered out friend" it's time for me to post a memo of seriousness. If you haven't noticed the pro rmk in the pic of my post a few pages back belongs to sxviper. I've known him for many years and we rode together a couple weeks back. I bleed blue and he is pure Polaris. We give each other the usual brand loyal elbow jabs from time to time. Never have we bitched and complained about each others sled like this thread has represented. We have come to the conclusion that all the current mountain sleds all do something very good in a different way. There is things the viper does that he likes the pro doesn't, and vice versa. In the end, we battle on the snow with trick tree lines and climb some hills but as soon as we stop or hit the lot, we are talking and laughing about what the hell we just rode through to get where we were at. I'm so ready for the 2016 reveals to see what's next for elbow jabs, not bashing beat downs that ruin self moral.

THANK FRKN GOD!!!!!

Someone has spoke that has a little common sense and sensibility...!

Thank you for simply pointing out what this sport is all about.! Though I love riding, its the people, comaraderie, challenge, success and failures that make this sport so special... And when everyone makes it back to the truck safely, beat-down tired and ready for a drink, the day is complete and fullfilling! But until I wasted the last 30 minutes reading this thread, I would have said that "People" would be at the top of the list.. To be honest, Im not so sure now!

I fell in love with this sport in 2008. Since that time, I became deeply engrained in our local riding community! I just wanted to be a good wingman for who needed one. Then I proceeded to put my entire family (All six of us) on the snow. The wife quickly became an above average rider and my four kids love the sport as I do! Youngest, at age ten, convincingly rides a Dragon 700-155! Needless to say, we are ALL IN! Well....... until a few weeks ago...!

In the past two weeks, I have sold 3 sleds, a two place open trailer and my sled deck. I have three sleds left and a 25' Triton enclosed that will be gone very soon. Why? Because it seems that after two back surgeries, coupled with complications to Multiple Sclerosis, I just cant do it anymore! Before you get the vision that Im some sorry *ss meager existance of a man, please know that I faught like hell for this not to happen. I go to the gym 5 days a week to do battle with the above-mentioned. Im 6'1" 245, and not fat! You do the math!

...... So here I sit, reading this thread and watching some of you worthless *ucks beat the sh*t out of someone that has merely shared their experience! And it's likely you don't even know her! But yet, there you sit behind your keyboard, being the next internet hero! How freekin pathetic are you?

Life is short people! Enjoy what you have while you have it!

Now, whos going to step forward and turn this forum back into what it use to be? A place where people could share their experiences and gleen ideas and technical support, without the "Beatdown"!?

But as for some of you, I suspect you treat most people like a POS... Its likely you have a couple Jack*ss buddies that will tolerate your testosterone and prejudice..... It's so uneccessary! I can't believe the effort that you put into being mean and disrespectful. Blows my mind! And your likely the one that proclaims to others "What has the world come too"?! Well, look in the mirror!

So, with all that said, I need to sincerely apoligize!

This is entire post was merely and advertisment for items up for sale as well as MS.

Yep, because I have 3 sleds and a trailer posted for sale on this site, I just wanted to draw attention to myself, so that they may sell quicker... And as far as the MS goes... Im sure your jealous that I have it and you don't!? It's likely that one of you will begin bashing on me and proclaiming that I am merely trying to gain support for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society... (Oops, I did it again).....

Pathetic!!! Grow the *uck up!

Well, ran out of sh!t talking to read on P5 since I don't have a paid subscription. Just wanted to say thanks to all for one of the best threads in a while.
And I don't know nuthin, can't make up my mind, currently have 2 Poos, 1 Doo, 2 make it 3 cats and 1 yami. Of course this encompasses machines built from 1980 up to 2012 lol.
But 2 things. First my yami is about 320lbs ready to ride, so no more fat chicks jokes about the Yamis. (It's a yz450 T sled though hahaha).
Second to anyone who doubts it, the blue cats, I mean Yamis, I mean.....they're the same, ok??

Hmmm. Why do people try so hard change the topic here?

I was gone for a couple days to Michigan for hockey, swung up to the UP to test out yamahas newest flagship model. It's big, powerful and loud. Should be the total package, as the price increase is significant. Weighs in a little under 1200 pounds.

I can't wait for the blue 1100Turbo "Yamaha" branded ProClimb to come out. Factory Turbo "Yamaha", here we come!

Wow, Vinnee. I skipped reading your entire post last night, as it seemed to be derailing the thread a little. You almost had the whole train wadded up in a cabbage patch with all of that.

Wow. I feel bad actually. Absolutely nothing new or exciting. All the Yamaha guys on Facebook are mad, so I can understand why it's nothing but crickets on here today. The aftermarket industry will thrive another year.

yup, the only guys that are happy this year are polaris guys. these polaris guys that have heard about some chassis changes, heard about an engine update, seen a few pictures on the internet, and watched a video about instantaneous lift...........................but these guys, like you, have never thrown a leg over one or even seen one in person. doesnt that seem odd?

How would that be any different than any new model intro from any manufacturer since the beginning of time?

Polaris is the only manufacturer with a full redesign for 2016. This will generate the most excitement. This will sell the most sleds. The rest will be fighting for the left-overs. Them are the breaks.

Gee-whizz, I recall a SnoWest party in West Yellowstone featuring the release of the brand new RMK a little while back. I'm sure it's just rumors though. The engine has only been in production sleds for over a year, forum members got to ride the new RMK along with some of the big name guys in Alpine, there are multiple pictures as well as a video of these said forum member's reaction to the new sled......

Yep. For sure just rumors. What rumors have you heard about Yamaha with that much concrete evidence ya f**kin smartazzz?

oh, so you're just relaying information you read from someone else on the forum? seems legit.

polaris had their infamous 800 in earlier models, then put it in an 11 and 12 pro.................and look at the pile of garbage it is. dont think 1 year one a trail sled has made that engine tried and true

:spit::spit:
They should have redone an outboard motor and gone trolling on the Lake for a while..huh :pound:

Vinnee

Yep bashing is what this has become, The ones that bash are more than likely the ones that are haters because you don't ride what they ride. When It comes down to it, they probably cant ride anyway except for being a forum hero !!

Your sled is a tool nothing more, any good rider can make any of these brands sing !! If someone thinks Im full of it, then you have your head in the sand. Do you need to agree or ride what someone else is riding ? NO!! personal choice you A#$ hats !! As vinnee stated and I have in the past, every sled is purpose built in todays market. Each sled shines at certain things, but none and I mean NONE do everything we want well. I could not agree more, let this forum be about what we do and experience. Stop beating people up because they don't ride a Polaris, or a skidoo or a Yammy or Cat !! I don't ride what you ride because Im not you !! Oh one more thing, If you think a Yammy cant hang in the trees. Well I ride with two buddys that ride Yammys and are well known, Im here to tell you they will hang any day with us that like to DANGLE !! If you don't agree then maybe we should set up a ride. Be happy everyone, We love our sport !!! Don't trash it by trashing others experiences !!

Well, the 275hp Evolution Powersports Big Chute Turbo Yamaha a Viper is damn near unbelievable. I consistently ran out of mountain before I ran out of power.

Ahhhhh full blown mod sleds. Gonna buy a set of '16 Cat arms & spindles for that thing now?
