A little comparison.. Boosted Viper vs Boosted PRO

Just gotta shake my head at some of the stuff that admin/mods will post on here...
Great site, tons of info, lots of fun but when you take on that role some things should be beneath you.

Just the opposite.
I look for mods that are PASSIONATE about this sport and their particular sled. I don't look for guys or gals that pretend not to have preference and are not willing to dive into the trenches and be an active part of the discussion.

I think everyone here knows I am the only Yamaha rider at SnoWest. The entire staff are all hard core dedicated 2S riders who think I am nuts and have lost my mind for riding a 4S in the mountains (as do most of the forum members).

But that is exactly what makes threads like this fun and entertaining to read and participate in. It's the passion and dedication of each of us that powers this sport. We each make a hard real world choice and back it up with a large cash payment when we purchase our sleds. This is not a sport for the financially casual participant.

The guys at the magazine get new factory sleds every year to ride and review. I don't. I buy my sleds on the open market and negotiate the best possible deal I can get, just like you! So don't be surprised in the least bit that I, and all the other mods on this forum, are heavily invested in what each of us thinks is "best" for our specific and unique situation.

Everyone I ride with has an aspirated 2S.
I have 3 boosted and 2 aspirated 4S sleds.

I love riding these sleds and working on these sleds.

So after a little comic relief from the beat down our "tuckered out friend" it's time for me to post a memo of seriousness. If you haven't noticed the pro rmk in the pic of my post a few pages back belongs to sxviper. I've known him for many years and we rode together a couple weeks back. I bleed blue and he is pure Polaris. We give each other the usual brand loyal elbow jabs from time to time. Never have we bitched and complained about each others sled like this thread has represented. We have come to the conclusion that all the current mountain sleds all do something very good in a different way. There is things the viper does that he likes the pro doesn't, and vice versa. In the end, we battle on the snow with trick tree lines and climb some hills but as soon as we stop or hit the lot, we are talking and laughing about what the hell we just rode through to get where we were at. I'm so ready for the 2016 reveals to see what's next for elbow jabs, not bashing beat downs that ruin self moral.

AMEN BROTHER.
We ride because we are all IN LOVE with the sport.
How boring it would be if everyone had the same sled!!!!

Next week 24 of us will gather in British Columbia for the 3rd SnoWest Forum Canadian Ride. Chances are there will be 2 boosted Yamahas, and 22 non boosted 2S. And we will ALL have a blast together!
