A little comparison.. Boosted Viper vs Boosted PRO

You guys always start wandering from the thread and start takin shots at me, but yet I'm always in the wrong. The thread wasn't doing anything after my last post, yet you perpetuate it by talking about me, and I'm not supposed to say anything.
Not say anything?
Are you kidding?
You are the LIFE OF THE PARTY bro!
Your comments are what everyone is coming here to see.

You would be AMAZED at the number of back channel conversations you have spawned. Holy Cow dude, YOU are the HOT TOPIC of the week.!!

This is without a doubt the most entertaining thread on SW right now while we all hope and pray that winter has not come to an end in the middle of February.

All's fair in love and war unless you're disagreeing with me or I don't appreciate your humor because I'm butthurt over the current topic, then I'll give you a thumbs down but publicly berate you if you, a paid member happen to give me bad rep for the sake of making my argument against you look better.
And yes, I gave you ONE Red Thumb for ONE very specific post that I thought was really out of line. Not quite to the level of getting an infraction, but far enough over the top to deserve special note.

There, I fixed it you, ya....

See how the new Yamaha SR Viper MTX stacks up against the competition in real-world riding conditions -- both in terms of weight and power to weight.

The results may surprise you!

#1 question about the new SRViper M-TX is how much it weighs.
Watch this video and see just how close we really are to those so-called lightweight mountain buggies, even with an accessory turbo kit installed!

Wow. The Pro has big flat spots on the boards? Also, why didn't they do a side by side with an actual Cat? I suppose it would take away from the agenda of showing off the "Yamaha" qualities?

There's some weird white crap hanging on these sleds that happened to not be when they weighed the one. Strange. Looks like track porting and my already existing factory tunnel wrap will be good for about 80-100 pound reduction

Yup
The Viper handles great AND is a lightweight at the same time.
What more could a 4S lover ask for!:face-icon-small-hap

A viper is over 100lbs heavier ready to ride than a pro despite holding two less gallons of fuel, and has 10-15 less hp. I don't have a propaganda video to go along with that because I'm not twisting facts to make things appear different than they are.

The axys is lighter and has more hp than a pro.

I sincerely hope yamaha comes out with mountain sled than can compete with other manufacturers flagship models in stock trim

I sincerely hope that Yamaha starts offering the sled with the 180hp MPI Turbo installed right at the Cat factory next week at the 2016 unveil.

Hopefully now that the emissions testing is done that last hurdle will be removed from their path.

I am the FIRST PERSON to agree that this sled, for mountain riding, NEEDS TO BE BOOSTED.
Its great that Yamaha is offering a KILLER DEAL on a manufacturer subsidized turbo, but it really ought to be available pre-installed as a direct factory option, if for no other reason than to silence all the complainers about it being an after market product.

I know that SnoWest will NOT include the Viper in a Deep Powder Challenge UNTIL the Turbo comes as a FACTORY INSTALLED feature, only because they know that all of the 2S riders will HOWL and WHINE about how totally unfair the comparison is, even though the MPI Turbo is Corporate Authorized and is the ONLY aftermarket engine mod that does not void the warranty.

I guess we will know next week!

I think it would be great if yamaha offered factory turbo sleds. Paying a dealer to put aftermarket parts on removes the "stock" label regardless of subsidy or warranty.
No argument from me.
I really do hope they announce factory installation.
But I honestly have NO idea if it will happen.
There may be several additional reasons they have chosen NOT to boost it at manufacturing that I am unaware of besides EPA.

Just gotta shake my head at some of the stuff that admin/mods will post on here...
Great site, tons of info, lots of fun but when you take on that role some things should be beneath you.

So true. That hose exploded on me big time. Had a tiny nick in it from the previous season when the supercharger pulley let loose that I never saw. When it ruptured all the oil was gone in just seconds.
