2024 Polaris Snowmobiles Launch

A few other minor but notable refinements on the 24s.

  • Continued updates to the 7S display, including removal of some bugs and Bluetooth connection problems, while also providing the rider with easier-to-read on-screen information.
  • An anti-fog coating is being added to headlights to improve nighttime visibility.
  • Lighter durometer grommets are used on body panels’ quarter-turn fasteners, making them easier to turn.
  • A new crimping method is used on Polaris exhaust pipe shell to reduce under-hood rattling.
  • A new oil cap will prevent seepage from the oil tank.
  • RMK have new brake rotor with better venting and a new “high-retraction caliper”

Can you mountain ride above 50mph with series 9? The boost runs 60ish climbing!!

3” tracks delaminate when they heat ex. 50mph on a packed trail for extended periods. In the snow it’s not an issue, they stay cool enough.

Can only imagine all the warranty claims next year when people spit 3.25 lugs all over the trail side whining how these tracks don’t stand up and are garbage.

Polaris doesn’t warranty tracks

Ordered my second 9R, sticking with the series 8 2.75”….I’m thinking going with that heavier 3.25” track will cost track speed and Rob us of some of the reasons the 9R shines….snappy quick torque and take off….so basically, I’m getting better scratchers and a fixed brake. Is it common that they will announce other mechanical changes over the summer and fall…like changes to the primary…or intakes etc? I’m hoping they are fixing some of the know issues but dont brag about that stuff on snowcheck…

man those colours suck this year too…poo and doo must of had a bet over who could put out the crappiest powder blues this year lol…wtf
I think your thinking wrong on this. It doesn't matter what your guage says for track speed. It is only ground speed that matters and makes it snappy. If your track is spinning and not hooking up it is not snappy. I don't care what your guage says.

Minor detail but I wonder if the RFID chip on the hood emblem will work this year. Mine never worked and tried a few others at the dealer. Salesman commented he has never gotten one to work.

So if I am reading things right, they are going to the same rail profile for the Khaos and the Pro?? So if that is the case is the only difference between the two at that point the limiter strap length or will the shock lengths still be different as well?

Both the 155 and 165 series 8 tracks have come with the same rail profile in the Khaos and RMK from 2022 already.

I'm going to order a new Boost just so I can get the new scratchers! We'll worth the 22k even though I didn't like riding that 3.25 track at Burandt's. I really thought there would be 2 tracks. He does not have that 3.25 track on his Ultra Lite. He has something else.
I put a Silber stage 1 tune (about 10 hp but it drastically cleans up the bottom end richness) into one of the Polaris Pro riders boost sled last week in Revy. He was pissed at how poor it was running with the stock map. Mad enough he was ready to light it on fire. The map cleaned it up a ton. He was running a prototype Polaris track that looked closer to a doo track. Said it was the best track he’s ever had. It definitely wasn’t the same as the 325. G

For you guys clamming that direct injection is a requirement for shot start. Can you explain why?

It sprays fuel in the cylinders and then backfeeds the stator to turn the motor about 1/2-1 revolution.
So you need a very overbuilt stator to use as a motor, and then directly injecting gas into the cylinder. This is all powered by a large but fairly light capacitor.

It doesn't work on a cold sled, and if it doesn't start in that first little cough it's time to pull the cord. Notice that using it, it's either instant or it's stopped. It doesn't have seconds of cranking power.

Polaris using indirect injection in the intake manifold, would require it to spin the engine fast enough to draw air and fuel into the cylinders. By the time you make the stator big enough to do this, you are better off with a conventional electric starter that isn't spinning all the time. Same with the capacitor, by the time you make one big enough the battery is smaller.

There's about 400 answers to this on Google, but for some reason it comes up every snowcheck season.

Where is everyone getting this info about a common rail profile?
From Matt Entz on Facebook:

"More updates! PRO and Khaos now share the same rail profile. The anti-stab kit now uses bigger wheels with bigger bearings (same as the wheels on the cross shaft for the front track shock) and no more rail caps. This is standard on all 2024 RMK models??"

tx. So what’s the point them of having khaos and pro models then if they are now same rail? is there any difference anymore?
