2012/13 Snowy Range snow conditions

whats this christmas week looking like for storms coming?
We're still on track for our next winter weather event to begin Monday night (Christmas Eve) continuing into Christmas Day Tuesday. What we're looking at is a Pacific low pressure system tracking into southwestern Wyoming Monday afternoon and then into Colorado by Tuesday morning. We could see 12 to 15 inches of snow accumulations in the mountains out west in the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges. Elsewhere, 2 to 4 inches can be expected at Cheyenne and Laramie as well as the southern Panhandle, with 4-6 inches around Chadron and Lusk. Stay tuned to later updates and/or statements from the National Weather Service on this developing winter weather event.

Went up today and rode with some friends that needed to break in some new motors. We put a little over 70 miles on. There is a couple of feet of snow in the trees and it was setting up everywhere else we rode. Fun day and no damage done. Hopefully this next storm will cover up all the tracks!

Will be heading out on Wednesday, hows it looking for tree riding?

We put quite a few miles on in the trees - we did bounce off of a few land mines here and there, but no damage. I think if this next storm does what it is supposed to (foot?) it should get even better. There is still a ton of stuff to hit - you still have to be careful in most places right now IMO.

How is it looking after this last storm (Dec 24 25 ) ? thinking of heading up on the 29 and 30?

Sorry, no pics. There is still stuff to hit, but it's getting better all the time. Ray and Stan have been running the groomers and some of the trail stakes have been put out (rats):D
Today is absolutely gorgeous, if we didn't have obligations, I'd be up trying to track it all up!

My bro in-law and I made a supply run up to the cabin yesterday and did some snow removal work for my parents.
There was a foot off very fluffy dry snow that had covered our tracks from last Saturday. The picture is the snow that had fallen since the start of the season on the north side of the cabin.

My parents just got up there today (hour ago) and there was 3-4" on top of our tracks from yesterday and it is still snowing right now and 8 degrees.
