2012/13 Snowy Range snow conditions

Took the kid and pedaled up the range last night to see how far they have plowed<O:p</O:p

Headquarters park

Headquarters park a little further up the road

The road is plowed to half way between silver lake and headquarters park

Greenrock 5/10/13

Rode the range this afternoon. Never saw another rig or sled all day! Never had the whole mountain to myself like that. Parked at the Brooklyn lake turn off just before the road closed gates. Just because it was easier with the new rider that was with me. Plenty to ride from greenrock for this weekend. Snow was good, first 6" was soft. 130 was rough bladed from both sides all but a mile or two over the top. Down to pavement up to libby rec area. Probably have it all or close to open by next weekend with the warm weather coming this week. Still better than a day at work! Or dec riding.. Mostly went to test out my new AI narrow arms. Did some polishing too.. Get ya some!

Anyone know if there's enough snow still to take a few laps out of Lake Marie?

I was up riding on the 1st of June and there was plenty of snow. Might be tough to make it over the gap due to open water, but the rest should be ok still I would think. Heck, I'm hoping to make a run on the 4th of July!! :)

The snow depths on snotel stations have taken a dive since the 1st. French Creek is at 0 now and Med Bow is around 23". Just not sure if there will be anything left by Saturday or not...

I'm going to head up after work tonigh, I'll post what I find.

Gonna try parking at headquarters park and riding over to lake Marie

Well.... Headquarters park is pretty much grass and water so I drove straight to Lake Marie. There is still enough snow for some riding, and I am certain on saturday there will still be plenty to climb up Lake Marie hill. It is melting super fast though!

I only snapped one pic last night -

Anyone up, post pics looks like there is still some to play in.
Work is crazy, winter is not to far away...

It was snowing today

Went up top to see how much was left, and got a little bit of snow for Fathers Day. Wife and kids thought Mother Nature likes me. Kids said we should have brought the sleds!

Also saw a guy in Centennial that had a red shirt that said something like His favorite word is "Bacon". Made me think of the Bacon thread in Fouled Plug.

The temperature dropped to 38 degrees Friday night/Saturday morning when we were up there (near Rob Roy).

Lots of critters running around - the kids got to see moose, elk, deer, and some bald eagles when we were fishing Rob Roy.

Good weekend all around, I'm ready for some snow.
