2012/13 Snowy Range snow conditions

Cool, just be very careful and take your time getting around, otherwise could be very expensive!

Oh, and on that note, as you're leaving Greenrock there are 3 heavy steel posts that are cut off right at the snow hieght. They're about 200 yrds east of the entrance to Snowy Mtn Lodge on the north side of the hwy. Don't ask how I know they are there.

Will do, was out last Thanksgiving and tip toed around and was fine. Thanks for the heads up. I'll let our guys know. Looks like a good chance for snow this weekend. Be nice to get some fresh while out.

The second video is from Kody when we were out on Wednesday, coming down a drain south of Queally.

Im jealous now. no snow in iowa.

We probably still have some left on the trailer :)

Friday, was slow going. Dont even bother on O, or the northeast side. Snow was just getting "ok" west from the coaster. Didnt ride the north slope west of the coaster much. It had decent snow, but LOTS of surprises. Made our way towards quealy where it was getting fun, but still lots of surprises. North/west/nw of "U&CE" "N&NO" was definitely the best snow.

Sat morning that same area had up to 3' fresh. Still lots of surprises in the meadows, but the trees were filling in nicely. We messed around off of 200/205 area most all day. Didnt get crazy by any means, but still had a blast!

Prob best access from the west, but can still easily get to it off of 130 from the east.
Looked like the range was gettin hit good again this morning when we left!

we went yesterday and stayed on the trails as we were breaking in my new Pro. Planb to go back again this Sunday and hopefuly it will be safe to start hitting the meadows.

Couldn't find any snow on 12/15/12

:jaw:
These pics are from the area South of Quelly Warming Hut. **** house also had several feet of fresh pow which proved to be a challenge. Great day of riding especially since we didn't hit any land mines. New 2013 Pro got some break in miles. :bounce:
