The wind blew today, its settingin up, I found it to be better trailering south from burgess junction about ten miles then riding from one of the parking areas.
Probably can find some good if you stay in the trees lots of landmones as you all know

Rode Saturday to put some break-in miles on, nobody there, gate is closed, parking lot has zero snow..highway about the same until you get to the top. Snow is pretty thin where we ride. Get back in the trees and coulees and it get's pretty deep but no base and rocks/stumps everywhere. Need some good dumps before you can just ride.
all the ridges and open areas are blown away . i would not recommend traveling to the horns until it snows again.

You going to go up by burgess? I want to go if they get any decent snow, the only thing that is gonna hurt this storm is the wind, but its looking good maybe we can ride together

Gonna see how this storm pans out, if its good I'll be up on Fri. night to ride Sat. / Sun., looks like I'm probably traveling solo so would be interested in meeting up also. How'd the base set up over the last week?
I hope it is all that was forecasted! My dad has told me multiple times that usually when it snows good on the mountain it doesnt snow down here and vice versa... They have forecasted 6 inches here and we only got like an hour snowshower with very little accumulation so maybe that will be true with this storm and pound up there. Check the bear lodge website becuase usually they post snow totals after a decent storm.
Also digger18 if i am up i would show you around as well... will be on the sled in my pic

Right as i posted the last one i just seen on facebook that Lodges of The Bighorn Mountains just posted on their facebook about an hour ago that they had 12'' of new snow at deer haven lodge... Good news!!!
And they also said that the ski resort would be open friday-sunday for those of you who like to only go down hill.

Meadow Lark Ski Resort opened last weekend!! It was good, quite a bit of snow!! I might just ride the South Side this weekend!!!
