2011/12 Big Horns North/South snow conditions

LOL yes it is my favorite thing to do this time I sawed it off with my saw though and not the front end of my sled which tends to happen periodically when you play in the trees

im getting mixed reports on the snow conditions as of today the 13th? anyone want to clear it up for? decent snow? not so good? lookin to make a quick trip soon but would like to know the snow conditions?

You're getting mixed reports because it all depends where you ride. Granite pass had the best snow we found. Go west of the lodges and it gets pretty thin. Highway at fiberglass didnt even have any snow on it. We rode 2 days at granite and didnt see another track or another sled besides a guy cutting a tree down.

Pics from saturday again we did more cutting christmas trees than anything but didn't have to try very hard to find untouched snow. I'm sure the back country honeyholes are great for this time of year.

Who's planning on riding between the 28th and New Year's?

We're leaving Wednesday morning... planning on getting out there early enough to give us some time to rip around a bit and check the jetting/clutching on the sleds, then heading out to the pow Thursday morning.

Found some pow today but still very little base, bounced off stuff all day but no damage.

If you go look for it the fresh untouched snow is actually awesome as you can see from the pics above. The problem is there isnt enough snow underneath and no base, your bouncing off stuff all the time. Got to be very careful and that still prolly isn't enough, I think I tweaked something on my front end

I am probably going up Tuesday with my dad and brother, to the South Side to break in my dad's new Nytro, there is no snow anywhere, it sucks!!!
