Rode out of Albany today, snow was super fluff and sky was blue. Bumper deep and untracked.

Took a friendly, non-agressive stroll out of Albany. Ended up being a deep snow festival. Found snow from top of the ski deep to handle bar deep. Cant wait for my friends to get here from Ne. and Mn.:car:

Riding update-Wednesday, March 9th. Green Rock-130. From the Toilet bowl to Quealy warming hut the snow averaged about waist deep! Consistently over the wind shields! Blue bird day and amazing depth. By about 3:00 pm the sun was starting to setup the snow a bit but still good quality powder. Best day this year by far!

Temps were up today, lots of sun. Snow turned to mashed potatoes in the afternoon, still alot of fun though. Weather man says the wind's gonna blow tomorrow(big surprise).

so hows the weather looking over there today? we re leaving tonight and be there by tmw afternoon.

I hope its good! you know it will be better than home leaving here in a couple hours will be there by morning. See you out there!

redwolf_92, you are right about the trails - you need them to get to the places you want to play and they SUCK. There is no excuse for them to be that bad - 2 to 4 ft moguls - what a waste when you have 130+ inches of snow in a season! Our group has been going out there 10+ years and say that only since the USFS took over have they been that terrible. We met the groomer twice last week - once on the T just north of Libby and once north of Albany on the Q. In both cases, you could see where they went, but the trail was still a wreck.

It was pretty brutal out there today. Wind was gusting 65mph, but it was snowing so tomorrow should be good:face-icon-small-hap

Snowed hard this morn, we went north across the glacier, visibility was virtually nil 'till we got into the trees behind Rock Creek Noll. After that bumper deep through Johnson Park to Windy Hill and back around. Should be good tomorrow!

Surprise :present: We rode Saturday and Sunday expecting spring conditions and WOW was the snow awesome. I am not sure how much more they got overnight Saturday to Sunday, but I am going with at least a foot in some areas. :face-icon-small-ton But ...... the parking at Greenrock is a bit of a challenge. :face-icon-small-con

Great riding conditions on Sunday. Snow was a little sticky, no complaints here! Great base underneath! The Widowmaker and Sugarloaf both broke loose today. Not big avalanches but enough to deserve attention. Overall, excellent riding for this time of year. North French Creek is showing 130" to date. Awesome day:nod:
