General area is Bald Mountain-Wyoming High Country...the exact spots are some areas that we try to keep to ourselves if you know what I mean.

Nice pictures Todd! Looks good up there! Hmm.. I think I know a secret spot. :face-icon-small-hap

What to see how my ride went today? Lol, the driveway was as far as we made it today.

Finally got premium :face-icon-small-hap so i can get in on all these good threads.... Anyhow, anybody got any news on South Bighorns (Powder River)? Plannin on going up this weekend but not sure which side. I think that all this talk about honey holes is kind of funny for the big horns :face-icon-small-ton

You might think that but, we'll be heading to one of our places and see tracks right up to the point where the tree's start to get thick and I think s&#t somebody was already here, but then they turn around, if they just went into the trees they would come upon a great meadow or "honey hole" but they don't and 90% of the time we find them un-tracked.

Steph, what happened with you guy's? The riding really is pretty good right now, base seems more like Feb than Dec.

Oh just nothing worked out, after we got the sleds loaded I discovered I was missing a main bolt on my 2 wheel kit, that was kind of the last straw for our trip.

But the m7 is running now, the sled deck is finished, just have to get 2 bolts ordered and find the stupid tie down bar. :face-icon-small-ton We are planning to go next week, I have new year's eve and day off.

I don't really have any secret spots per say, but that's the nice thing about the big horns, not many people get too far off the road. You can always find untracked snow.

Going up to the South Side 2marrow, will let you know how it is...I am pretty sure that the north side doesn't have much more snow than the south side!

Rode the South Side the 24th.. Had a blast...The snow is really good for this early in some places we were riding in snow over the hood. Just watch out for rocks there is still a lot of them, but if your careful there is enough to ride!!

Nice pics Ryan, we went up the 26th and rode. Found some good snow down Munkers and Powder River, just have to be careful of where you ride. Didnt get any good pics taken, spent most of the day helping the ladies of the group get along.

Anybody know anything about the snow after this good storm here, I want to go ride this weekend! Gonna be a cold sob tho :face-icon-small-sad

Thanks shelbwyo.. Ya the best snow was munkers pass for sure, the trees were awesome. Snotel shows that the pass had 29 inches of snow.

Here are some pictures from our ride on New Years. Nice base for this time of year and we did find some powder in the trees. Boy though the wind sure screamed up there!

Got the m7 running, engine runs good but found out my clutch is shot so we didn't get to ride on New Years eve. My Dad was kind enough to bring up a spare sled for me the next day. There were a ton of people at the lodges but we only saw a few people on the trail and one group actually riding the whole day. Lots of untracked snow (well there was anyway. :face-icon-small-win)

The pictures are of my Dad- red coat on the skidoo, and Brant- white coat- m8.
