2010/11 Big Horns North/South snow conditions

Looks like it is snowing up there right now, snotel just went up an inch at Baldy.
Here are the 2 videos we got, pretty impressed with the go pro. Very nice picture and fairly easy to use, just have to figure out how to edit the footage now.
Steph, took some nice pics of the family outing. I was suppose to be up there on New Years with some friends but my truck wouldnt start so i had to stay home. I went up above buffalo today to find that about everything is tracked up! Where abouts did you ride up above sheridan?
Good pictures rydpwdr! Ouch on the rock, that sucks! We had always talked about riding up on the west pryor, just never have got it done.
Yeah, it was really windblown on the horns, but it wasn't too bad in the trees. shelbwyo- just played around up by high country.

1-5-10 South Bighorn Ride
My and a couple friends went for a ride today, didnt see anyone the whole day and most the tracks are getting covered up, snowed most the day (with more on the way) with quite a bit of wind. Found some good untracked powder and a cornice that is starting to be good.
I noticed there are only a couple pics of the south horns in the thread so im going to try to upload pics that i took today, never done it before but gonna give it a shot.
Me on the 97 RMK, my bro Chas04F7 on the black RMK and my other buddy on the blue RMK... haha we decided our group should be called team polaris after we were riding last sunday with some cats and one broke down
Hope this works! How do you make the pics smaller? Seems to me like they are just a little big...

We are headed up tonight after work. Staying at Bear Lodge. Looks like its gonna be good snow.
I dont know what the weather is like up there right now, we are down in laramie hitting up the snowies, but from the weather report it is suppose to snow all weekend and be cold next week, should make for some good riding.
Two days or so ago the bear lodge website reported that they got about 8-10 of snow so i think both the north and south end are shaping up to be good this year

Looks by the weather report that there is a slight chance of snow 20-40% up at powder river, but nothing big. I am going riding abover sheridan tomorrow and then up at powder river on saturday, will let you know how the snow is tomorrow.
The snotel has been fluctuating up and down 2-3-4 inches all week. Tonight I see we are back down to 46" at baldy and the temps came out of the negatives finally. NOAA is saying 20-50% chance of snow everyday through Monday and windy with warmer temperatures then last week.
I'm excited to get up there, hopefully my weight shows up here tomorrow so I can put everything back together. xc_rider08, don't be shy if you see us. I'll be the blond gal with the tall guy, lol. You staying at Bear?

Yep, staying at bear lodge, there will be 6 of us, me on a pro rmk, 1 skidoo rev, 2 xp's, 1 mountain cat, and 1 zr.
Leaving right away after work today, should be pulling in around midnight, cant wait to ride.
