You're not going to believe what I lost at gold creek today??

Awesome...

Guess what?? It was turned in to police yesterday and it's in the mail. Someone found it a few days ago in the woods and called the cops.

I have no idea what shape it's in but I'm sure it's not good. If any gun can handle the out doors for 5 months it's that one as it's mostly titanium, aluminum and stainless. I will send it to S&W to be restored.

I am such an idiot!!

Sweet!:beer; I can't believe we missed it...we searched that area pretty well...must have been in one of the track ruts covered up.

You knew it huh. I was the one that was sure someone had it and you wanted to keep looking. I was flat wrong and should have listened to you...

I hope it's fixable but we'll see.

Thanks again for your help. E

Man I'm happy you got your piece back. I thought it was a goner for sure! Good feeling that there are still some people out there who will do the right thing and return lost stuff and not keep it.

I would love to talk to the peeps who found it and reward them and get the scoop on where and how they found it. It might have hung on the rail from Super bowl to Skate park.

I guess I have to return the 38 now.

sorry if it seemed like i was ranting drinking the bong water and a gun ohh boy:Dit really bothers me when people think you should not need a gun in the woods.i pray ill never need it but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it and i just thought id post my opinion 5 pages and 4 months later so for the people that dont understand go back and read all 5 pages.

i heard they were working on it when my wife was getting her cwp a few months ago thats good to know thanks

Sorry to get off subject a bit, but...

It was my understanding that you cannot carry in National Parks until sometime in Feb of 2010...when the bill goes into law??? I realize the bill was signed by the president but thought it didn't go into effect until the designated date on the bill - which is in 2010.

Am I wrong? Anyone have any legit proof that CWP or CCP holders can legally carry in National Parks at the present time?

Looking forward to see pics and hear report of gun condition.

BTW, a google search quickly confirmed the National Park rule does not take effect until Feb 2010.:mad:
