Im not new to riding i grew up riding a Arctic cat just stoppped riding for about 4 years im not a trail rider i like back country riding and techinal riding.. bombing straght up hills gets boring for me i like to weave through trees and side hilling if this helps anyone to give me the best answer i do not want to buy any used sled as i have before and you never know how they have been rode before.

Thanks

Talk to Remko at I90 Motorsports when you go to the show. Have him set up a test ride on the new XM. If I can swing it I will go ride with you and you can try my 13 Pro to compare. PM me here when you get it set up.

Good riding

Sounds good i will be down there tomorrow and i will talk to them and then see what they said and message you on the forum thanks man

Both excellent sleds but the Doo pulls the poo on the deep because of Hp & track no doubt about it . It depends on what you want & how you ride .Dealer is also will help make your decision.

Both excellent sleds, but a properly set-up Poo will pull the Doo in the deep everytime. Here's a few other things to consider, the Poo is real easy on belts, the factory clutching recommendations are nearly perfect, the sled is an absolute dream to sidehill and throw around, the news boards should make for a nearly perfect extremely light factory sled.

Sleds

I've owned a Pro and XP, rode Pro Climb last season. I was up at Seeley last winter with a group on my Pro climb and talked to couple guys that were demoing the XM's, both guys had 011 XP's. They both told me they were snow checking the new XM's, they were very impressed with them. Said they felt the handling and power was much improved over their 011 XP's and that it was a no brainer, far as what sled they were snow checking. I asked them what they thought of the Pro, since that's what I rode the year before, they both said it was a great sled but underpowered. They said they felt the XM's got up on the snow alot better than their XP's, and liked the overall power and handling better than the Pro as well.

My experience with my Pro 163 was I also felt it was a bit under powered, especially because I'm a big guy at 6' 4 245lbs. The chassis also felt a bit cramped for me, I prefer the XP and Pro Climb Chassis better far as ero's. I got to climb around on the XM when we got back to the parking lot and I liked the feel of the sled, but again never did ride one up on the hill. If you're concerned about power, I'd go with the XM hands down. If it's all about riding in the tree's, not so much high marking wide open hills then the Pro Probably gets the edge. In the tree's the Pro is un stopable. Even though my Pro felt a little cramped for me personally, I loved it in the trees. If I was say 6' 0 185lbs I'd probably lean more towards the Pro especially for boon docking over any other chassis.

You honestly can't go wrong with either sled IMHO. If you were thinking about a Pro Climb, I would steer you away from one of those. They are one heavy, trenching beasts. It took me quite of list of mods to get mine too where I liked it. Good luck with your decision, if you get a chance try and ride both but sometimes that's tuff to do, so you just have to go with your gut instinct on which sled you feel will best suit ya...................:face-icon-small-coo

This spring I rode a 2013 800 E tec Doo proto, I was impressed with it in the flats and playing around and on a sidehill it did exactly what they said... you stand tall and the sled stays "straight" in-line with the hill... you don't have the sled on it's side with the front of the sled pointing up the hill. However it wasn't responsive, when you would crack it and try and cut up it would just lurch straight forward.... because you don't have the sled cut into the hill. In my opinion for a non aggressive rider it will be awesome but if you are looking for something that you want laid into the hill and throw around it isn't going to be as good as the pro.

Also, I think they are going to have some issues with the T-motion. The Proto had 400 miles on it the rider said he smoked a stump with it, and the bolt hole looked like it was reemed out. I think that point is going to be a pretty weak spot.

Im debating over the 2013 Polaris Pro and the 2013 Summit X i hear good things about both. Here are some reason I'm leaning towards the Ski doo great power and response and the new suspension supposable solved the side hilling problems any body rode one or have any answer on that. I hear everthing is great on the Pro but i hear you can deftinalty tell it has quite a bit less power than the ski doo and you can tell.

Get the XM, more power, better handling. I rode a 2012 assault last year and had to make the switch when i tested the XM

i could not disagree with you more. More like the pro is ment to go in a straight line side hilling. if you pin the throttle on the xm in a side hill the sled will 180 on you like nothin. thats because the power hits the snow way better thanks to t motion

If you're not brand loyal like some of these  ride and try, before you buy. I was a skidoo guy for six years. Got bored with that so I tried the Turbo Apex route........Im a big man( 6'3" 250lbs) but not big enough for that thing. So, I spent two days on my buddies '12 pro RMK and it simply didnt excite me. Felt too much like my '08 XP (which had a 15" wide track). One of my uncles has a M7, and everytime I ride it in the trees, it blows me away. In technical terrain, the M's are simply amazing. Most of my time is spent in the ugly drainages and trees that scare most guys. No, Im not a movie stud, but I love to challenge myself, and all of the new sleds will make you better in some aspect. As stated, a good dealer will make the difference in brand selection. So, that being said, what do I ride? I now have a 2011 HCR M8 with a Race Gas VOHK setup. Ride on gents.
