Citgo Sea and Snow...$12/g. Use to run Amsoil. Hated the $40/g price and the smell. My raves stay clean with the Citgo and my cylinders/pistons aren't scuffing so life is good.

blue marble

I have been using blue marble for 6000 plus miles... I feel its quality oil and my dealer has fair prices. I personally like the smell of the blue marble as other smell terrible. My sled seems to smoke less as well... just my opinion.:D

I'm gonna start runnin' citgo S&S in my 700 doo as long as CAL ranch has it readily available. I've read that some folks haven't had to clean their power valves as much and when the do, they are very clean. It goes for about $15/g. where I'm gonna get it.

I've heard rumors it's discontinued or has changed names to outboard something or another. Was still S&S when I bought some at Fleet Farm a few weeks ago.

Best oil I've ever used,,, less smoke at start up, smells nice, but almost no smell.... and my sleds like it too..

Sum info you might like to hear.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Being in the business I am in, of course I get lots of stories............

And normaly don't post customer info.

BUT heres two interesting conversations I had last week.

#1 - From Minnesota, Chris S. - A good Customer that seems very anal and does alot of reading and alot of testing & checking and comparing. He has a 2003 800 Edge RMK - And has ran VES Gold sinse he bought it..........Problem he had was the PTO oil line had big air bubbles in it......He asked a few3 different dealers about it, One said they said they never seen that before, another said the oil pump is bad. He went and bought a brand new OEM oil pump - And he went thru great lengths to make sure it was bled completely - only to have the air bubbles show up again ( what really bothered him was the fact that when he poured VES Gold into his oil bottle he saw air bubbles........And the air bubbles didn't go away......Anytime he opened his oil bootle to add oil was full of air bubbles. He then desided to drain the oil tank and change oil brands, The bubbles went away, And no more air bubbles in the PTO oil line. He then did some research and found out who made Polaris oil. He called lubritech and asked them about the air bubbles........They said they knew about the bubbles and after extensive dyno testing never had a failure ( My questions is...... Was the oil bottle in the dyno room boucing up and down like a sled does in real world useage ) Next they said they change the formula to get rid of the bubbles ( it didn't solve the problem ) He changed back to VES GOLD, The air bubbles in the PTO oil line came back. He said he is draining the VES GOLD and changing brands. ( His test oil was some old Ski-Doo oil )

#2 - From Canada, Tim K. - Bought a new 2009 800 Dragon, told me he drained his oil tank completely the day he got it and filled it with Castrol T2. He just talk to his dealer, his dealer asked him how his was running......He said its runs great, I just pulled my y-pipe and looked at the front of my pistons and they look like new ( not a mark on them ).

The dealer said yours is one of the only ones left running.

Just a thought, and a quote from IndyDan. . .

i run golden spectro in my hayabusa, quads, gsxrs in the past 0 probs.going to run it in my snomobiles,if dirt bikes can use it whats the difference they run when it 100 degs out and air cooled, sound a little more abussive
factory oil you have to run until your warranty runs out or they wont cover any damages.they take an oil sample and wala VOID.a parts guy at a dealer in wa told me they werent going to carry blue marble because they had 20 new sleds blow up and the manufacturer wasnt going to cover it,(common sence use what the manufacturer says for warranty purposes until it exp and then your on your own anyway)that shop blamed it on blue marble oil and suggested i use the manufacturers oil, well ya they make more profit on it,thats biz.

One time while snowmobiling in the extreme backcountry of Kickassistan, we
found ourselves low on 2 cycle oil.

Well, we were tens of thousands of miles from the nearest store so we had to
improvise & find a substance with addequate lubricity to limp our sleds over the
75,000 foot mountain range back to our trucks.

We apprehended a Yeti and extracted his jism & put 8 & 1/2 drops into each of our oil tanks.

WOW!

This doubled the fuel efficiency & tripled the horsepower in every sled,
(except for the JDX6, perhaps because having twin turbos, I dunno)
