Castrol snow 2T. Have ran this oil for two years in our sleds and have not had a problem. Started using it on a suggestion by someone on here. Pure dino oil and seems to work good. $18 a gallon.

AMSOIL is a multi-level marketing company....similar in structure to AMWAY.

That is probably why we see so many "overnight experts" that claim it is the best....they are probably selling it as part their "business" :) Not saying it is bad oil, just that it is probably no better than any other 2-stroke oil. I ran it for a while in a sled a few years ago, and thought it had a horrible smell. Hated to follow anyone who burned that stuff too!!

Personally i use Redline in one sled, and going to use VES Racing oil in the new one this year. I am interested in seeing how the power valves look compared to each other when it comes time to clean them.

Cheers!

SO you dont like the MML marketing. I have asked about this at some of the Amsoil confrences. I actually dont either but it was the way the company was structured and they are to far down that road to turn around. ie, dealers would lose all they have built and it would just go corporate. It would be a great deal for the company and crappy for dealers. BUT you dont see companies like Polaris holding the line for there dealers. Heck they started same way, (small) and had every farmer or machine shop selling there products then pulled the rug out from under them like your asking Amsoil to do.
Kudo's to Amsoil for towing the line for there dealers!

WOW, you really have not looked at the serious effects of oil in the past. Two stroke oils have made HUGE advancements over the last 10 years. Amsoil was the first in synthetics when all your others were saying...."Nahhhh its a BAD oil" NOW they are ALL pushing THERE brand of synthetics and some (SKiDoo) even lost a suit for unfair marketing warranty practices. *note you may of remembered the rider to there owners manuals that had to be inserted about use of oil.

I see you are one who sells Amsoil, so i totally expect you to defend it and the company itself. What i posted is in no way meant to offend, its just how i see it. My past experience has been that once things are being sold in a MLM system, it really "muddys the waters". Then every Tom, Dick and Harry becomes an "instant expert" on that particular product...whether its oil, vitamins, soap, furniture, floor coverings etc. They "parrot" all the information they are given at their so called "conferences" and pass it on as "gospel". Been there, done that.

As far as the "rug being pulled out from under the dealers" who have worked so hard....i do understand that, and believe that the harder one works, the better the reward should be. I can also say that once one is at the top, or toward the top of the "Pyramid" in these Multi-Level Marketing companies, the harder it would be to agree to change the structure of the company. I just think it would turn amsoil into a more credible company if they would make the change.

Again, i am not saying it is bad oil, just that the credibility of the company is tarnished by the MLM structure.

Cheers!

I just went and got some blue marble since I can't find any polaris blue right now. I'll tell you, blue marble sure as hell ain't blue! Green...wtf is this chit.

Maybe it went bad? Heh Heh

Dynotech Jim did before and after and after on his wifes sled one year and lost a couple hp, then switched back to pol oil and shazam the hp came back.

You can verify it in the dynotech research archives if you subscribe.

Good Luck

I have had good luck with Maxima Tundra R (fan of ester based oils across the board and synthetic blends in two strokes), I don't know if anybody else uses it.

Torco SSO Ran it for 4 seasons now with awesome results and it smells like berries :face-icon-small-win I like it, why change it...

I think I voted Blue Marble awhile back but after a year and 1200 miles on my 2011 M8 running the arcticat oil I was impressed with how clean the valves and exhuast were. So I'm going to stick with it even though it's $40/gal.

Use to be nothing but Klotz R-50, but they priced themselves out of the market. Redline now + it's stocked locally instead of having to order.

Have used AMSOIL with good results and zero issues, now using Redline because it is also a quality oil and is available locally.
