Got an email from my "buddy" at snotel-CO and they have the Tower Station back on line with hourly updates. Snow depth is still goofed up though:face-icon-small-dis

I'm going to the boat on thursday, was hoping to bring the sleds. Looks like sun all week though... Probably not going to get a chance to get out if that's the case. If anyone does check out buffs or ears before then please let me know!

I don't think I really did anything, except maybe let my fellow Snotel addicts know that things would be fixed. lol The station went to daily updates due to battery problems. They replaced batteries, but then the Snotel guy that does the programming was in the field working on stations in New Mexico. He got back today and reset the programming for hourly. He also said that the next time the batteries start to die he will set the station to update every 6 hours before going to the one hour update, so that's pretty cool. Now snow already!!

can't be that much to those things... A/D converter to a datalogging computer... and a radio to squirt the data off.... is it a matter of hardware malfunctioning or just manpower to keep it operational?

ears

drail and me eased around on sat tried to work our way to tower snow is thin wont ride again till real big snow hits

It's almost Hammertime! lol

Mule, considering he just got back from working on stations in New Mexico, it's probably a man-power issue. I mentioned the snow sensor not working and he said he'll put it on his schedule to go fix.
