10.25" Software Update Install Info.

I have to say, after last year’s update with the north up feature, it made a huge difference for how the brp go works. Getting a quality cable from phone to sled makes a difference too.
Finally getting around to doing the firm ware update on my 23 since I installed the gps unit. My sled will not see my iphone for wifi and my home wifi is running 5ghz and that wont work with the gauge. Is there anything special I need to do to get me screen to see my iphone? The bluetooth works fine, that connected right away.
I figured out the phone problem. I didn’t know the phone runs normally in 5ghz mode for data and hot spot. In which I read on Skidoo website that the 10.25 screen won’t run on 5ghz networks. On the iphone, you have to turn on “maximize capabilities” and that brings the phone down to 2.4 ghz which now the screen can connect to.
Now my new problem is, I get “Update server unreachable”. WTF is this? I called my local dealer to ask if they have come across this problem and they stated now that I have the gps unit installed, the ecm has to be flashed to received the firm ware updates and load the maps. Thats 1 hour time at $145 an hour. I don’t think the dealer is lying, has everyone who installed the gps unit have to have this done. I think its a crock to pay $80 for the unit, then have to drop another $145 for it to work!!

I wouldn’t think so either, I’m just wonder if it the iphone is causing the problems.
When the update ran correctly, was there any input you have to do or did the screen do everything without any input from you by saying download or permission to proceed?

Skidoo servers were down today. I had the same problem, both sleds couldn't connect.
