P.S. mountianmontser hope you guys can find that sled after all this snow.[/QUOTE]

Just got home from work, 2 days off and back again. There will be some diggin goin on to get it out know, that seven foot tree may no longer be a good marker hey.

Thinking about going this weekend, but a little fresh snow would be nice. Heard the groomer was still out of commission, and ya you're right about it bringing in the loads of the freeloaders. Heard the club was getting a 50/50 ride planned for the first part of Feb. Maybe the rough trail will keep them away for awhile!

The Poker Ride should be on Tabor Mountain, from the clubhouse. Check the website.

The Tabor trails have been groomed by the Tucker, but some clowns got their quads up there somehow and trenched up lots of the trail. That got fixed up, but the ride for free club out here can smell out somebody elses hard work and sweat from a mile away, so the trail isn't totally smooth anymore. Still not as bad as it could be.

Last I heard someone had stolen the rams and hoses off the groomer at the Pass Lake Road. Keep your eyes out for a log splitter running a nice blue ram. We are modifing some new rams and a local company is donating the fittings and hoses to get the groomer going.

Between the thieves and the ride for free club it's hard to keep up. Should probably should pack it in next year. Without the club around to keep things going the mountains will be placed under caribou protection, and let the cops patrol it then.

Oh, there is a website now? I was looking not too long ago for any new info and noticed that it was expired. I then talked to someone from the club, and they mentioned that they were having problems with the website, and also the hydraulics were stolen off the drag, and problems ordering the tires. Sounds like some ongoing problems, unfortunately if more people that sledded in the area got together and bought memberships and helped out organizing rides, etc...it would make things so much better. All the work usually falls on a few, and like you said sometimes its probably just easier to pack it in. From reading the posts on the site sounds like the Pass lake rd is pretty beat up, maybe head out to Bear lake area (700 rd) and see how the snow is around that way. Thanks for the info Yamadoo Pol Cat...does your handle mean that you're just partial to all the brands out there? LOL!!

Someone did some work on it sunday because when we came out it had been moved up the road. The snow was pretty good that day and the ride in wasn't that bad either. Fresh snow coming down on the way out!!!

Anyone gone out recently? Has the groomer been up and running yet? What are the snow conditions like? Heard a while back that the parking area wasn't plowed out....Any info would be awesome, planning a trip out on Saturday.

parking lot not completly plowed but room to park trail in not groomed as of sunday but was not to bad, but did not go all the way to the torpy, snow conditions harder layer with a bit of fresh on top can still carve and sidehill no problem but sugary snow underneath
