just a dyno's screen video. 6lbs of boost and factory compression on stock injectors....180 real crank hp. we will be on the 15th of february in cooke city for fine tuning and you guys are welcome!! jake stewart from mild to wild motorsports will be there with shane hart from hm turbo and our engineer/tuner , sebastien. we will test diffrent setup on n/a and turboed sleds and also ported,piped and custom bored throttle body setup....

 
Hi Guys and Gals,
If you want to stop by we will be staying at the Antler lodge in Cooke and pounding the hill during the day. We will be testing the following setups:
1)Stock at high elevation, just re re re re verifying
2)Vipec-Piped setup -couple different pipes
3)Vipec Piped,ported setup
4)Vipec Ported turbo setup
5)Vipec Piped ported setup
6)Vipec stock engine with turbo

So far so good, fuel map is within .43% accuracy across the board and things are looking awesome,stop by say hi and if you see us on the hill feel free to run one of our setups.

Looks like the piped and the ported setup are going to be phenomenol and the ported turbo is insane.
If we get enough guys maybe we will give a short class in the evening on the capabilities of the Vipec software at the Soda Butte or somewhere close by.

If you are interested let me know and I will arrange a meeting place.
 
Just spent a good hour or 2 with Jake on the phone going through this program.....WOW is all I have to say. I was amazed at how simple they have designed this thing to tune for you. set your AFR...Data log and press a button and voila! you have a perfect map! Really looking forward to getting one of these on Emilie's HM Turbo sled.

Wish I could go to Cooke....

We have one on the way for SSWIM's sled. Hopefully will do some testing next week.


I am waiting to see and hear something about this ecu other than a dyno vid or a low elevation lake ride video.
I will be switching over to Polaris next year but must have boost and need too see and hear some vid with this ecu in the mountains....so please post some!!!

Got all the ecu's in and will setting them up all week! testing everyday we can on the hill.

We are running out of snow and the season is getting short. We rode last weekend with good results.

Ok everyone, all I have to say is WOW!!!!!! Testing went very very well and to say the least its very impressive. To start with we have tested from 86ft up to 10500ft elevation with very consistant results. This is what we tested:
1) Stock setup with just a jaws can--also tried pipes and y-pipes
2)Turbo setup with stock ported cylinders and stock head

The results were excellent-
Stock sled- we tested with just the stock pipe and jaws can to make a good base map and ended up pulling 2 more grams of weight over the factory ECU,throttle response and midrange power is outstanding and very consistant.The pipes we tried along with the y-pipes resulted in zero gains in fact we ended up back at the stock pipe and y-pipe for the most impressive results. The last test day we decided to put launch control on the stocker just for kicks ,if you listen close he uses it in the one drag race in the video I will post. If you hold the brake for 1.5 seconds it arms the launch control, so all you have to do is hold the throttle wide open and let off the brake and its out of the hole instantly.

Turbo- This is the game changer by far--- right now we are on the stock injectors at 6 psi boost and 73% duty cycle pulling 79 gram weights at 8500 rpm with a track speed in the 70's going vertical...... The sled has a bottom end feel like I have never seen before on the turbo setup of any kind,its clean,responsive and as consistant as the stock sled. I did let quite a few guys we met on the mountain test it so hopefully they will chime in sometime soon. Guys this is no B.S. its the best out there and its going to get better.I will post more later,along with a few vids.

We need more video, 1.03 sounds like she goated on you. Also lets here some low speeds cruising and side hilling without you brapping the throttle like crazy, thats where these things are hard to tune. Also after your pull you clearly here it go rich once you chop the throttle and get back into it.

Too much bragging going on here for this.

Justin, that was the second day of testing out of 5 days so the Gloating and the richness is gone now , trust me three guys with your kit rode my sled and had nothing but smiles :). The ignition timing was off by 1 degree and we were a touch rich at 7000 but now she is clean as a whistle. You will be using these boxes sooner than you think LOL.

I think you will be running our new box here sooner than you think LOL. Easier to tune and 1/5 the Price.
 
So the guys who currently have turbos and want to intergrade this standlone ECU , how much work is involved and approximatly how much is this going to cost...It seams like 95% of turbo sleds are run in the mountains but there are a few low elevation guys around , will you have clutching set ups for us as well...Sledstew I will give you a shout when I'm back from vacation.
