STANDALONE ECU PLUG N PLAY DIRECT FACTORY REPLACEMENT 800CC POLARIS ENGINE

After reading this whole thread, and doing a fair amount of research on my own, I am getting more and more impressed with this ECU. What I would like to see is some straight up dyno sheets. Let's see a stock Pro, then with the ECU, then with a pipe, head, etc. I want to see what the actual documented HP gains are with this, just so we can compare it to the other products out there. I have no doubts this product does everything you say it does, but some tangible evidence would be beneficial to everyone interested! I'm 95% ready to pull the trigger on this and put one on my 2012 SBA! Seems like the most logical step if I stick to my plan of building a full mod with this sled.

When you get a minute to talk just give me a call, pmd you

This is all very interesting I'm wondering if i read wrong somewhere else but i thought i had read you would not need to blip the throttle any more but be able to hold a constant position with no issues? Thanks

Well, after a very interesting chat with sledstew on the phone, and good 3 hours messing around with the Vipec software, I think I'm sold on this thing! The sheer amount of fine tuning available is insane, and I'm already planning how to program a switchable duel map (91 oct/100ll oct) with a dash switch, along with a ECU boost level controlled turbo with meth injection......:face-icon-small-hap

The possibilities are pretty crazy.

I HAVE A NIFTY IDEA FOR A MAP SWITCH FOR YOU:face-icon-small-win

I think you will be running our new box here sooner than you think LOL. Easier to tune and 1/5 the Price.
JUSTIN,
easier to tune....i am not too sure! and 1/5 of the price? well with 1/100 of our functionalities, it is still too expensive!! lol

Yes these ecu's have every feature that you can think of. Stand alones are the bomb!!! that is why every top race program runs them. Having total control of timming, fueling, sensors, & gauges is the only way to go.

For those that are skepitcal just start reading and reserching about the vipec and you will see what all the buzz is about. The bar has now been raised and we have just started. :first:

I like the idea of the standalone, and think this is just the beginning. I'm just a little skeptical on trying to set it all up myself, there is no one out west in Cali area that tunes sleds. The dobeck is super simple, while I agree a stanalone can be better I just don't know how much time I would want to put to tuning one in.

I am watching this thread though to see how easy it is for people with less background than a turbo builder that already builds maps for stuff like dobeck boxes.

yep!

if you buy one unit, we will assist you in setting it up,step by step and once dialed in, no need for gauges, and tuning.

not for now but soon to be
The dobeck is super simple
when working....not the same league at all

we will have mapping available soon for all kits, and you will just need to touch it up for your custom set-up that it, can be done in less them 1 hour.

in fact, most of the turbokit builder using dobeck boxes are no more advanced then you on the standalone tuning! it is a complete different world and learning to tune a 2 cylinder engine is not that hard if you keep it basic features(no lunch control, knock sensor threshold development, air intake temperature correction, barometric compensation tables ect..) all the technical stuff has been taking care of, you can contact me and i will guide you to a few things that will make you comfortable.

Can someone post some gopro video of a sled running at 50 or so mph and just holding it there without any burping of throttle and then jump off into some pow and do some tree riding w/o just holding it wot. With the gopro looking at egt's. I am sure a lot of people, including myself are willing to spend the $ but would like to see it perform in some of the problem areas that these sleds are know for.

^^x2

These threads have been going on for months now and there hasn't been any quality action video of this product. What is the hold up?
As much as you got invested in this standalone ECU why don't you spend a little on some action shots.

hi !
we are now focusing on helping our distributor to fine tune their setup and we are working full time on arctic cat 800 and 1100t therefore not too much recording videos!! last week we were in cooke and at least 50-60 people test drove n#a and turbo sled we had there and there words were what we needed, we are spending money on travelling and investing a lot in r&d for the other plugin ecu coming in not too long :)......do not have time to record fancy videos and posting them everywhere.....but we will record a few this week-end for you and i will post them.

thanks

Closest thing I have for you, sorry I like to hear the blowoff valve LOL. It runs nice at midrange cool enough to hold it very steady if you want.:thumb:

Man, this thing keeps looking better and better. Think any of you guys would make it out to the West coast, Cali or Oregon this year? I am interested in this setup, just seems right now you guys are mainly working on turbo sleds with stock injectors no secondary ones.

How hard is it to tune in if my Silber setup already runs secondary ones? Any good links to learn more about the software, etc?

Thanks. This might have to be an off season project for next season.

Secondary injectors are peanuts to run, just tell the ecu what you want it to do and I gaurantee it will perform for you.

I understand that the ecu can do it. How complicated though is it to set up a secondary set? Don't you have them spray x amount at certain rpms? Coming off a Dobeck box, how would I know how much fuel they need and when to have them fire, etc. I downloaded the software, just quite a bit to take in when you don't have a ecu to plug in to see how things change, and what to look for when tuning.
