Mountain-powder-slut,I believe you failed to coherently read my statement thoroughly. Maybe if you were able to remain calm and think objectively you would get my point. I wasn’t putting words in your mouth; I was interpreting your words. Hence, my comment about your words being misleading, be more precise.
Laws and rules are the foundation of suppression. Unfortunately we live in a cruel and unforgiving world. Laws are required for a free society to remain within accepted social norms. The founding fathers made the constitution as a guideline to follow. The parallels between the conditions and factors that existed in the past to those that exist today are still present. However, our ability to help each other as a society has changed dramatically. The key is finding the right balance. This is where the debate begins and political parties, ideologies, and personal agendas get thrown in the mix.
Political perspectives require people to sacrifice personal interests, economic or otherwise, for the sake of other people's interests or rights. People assent to such obligations not because they "work" for their personal interests – or not only for that reason – but because they believe it's morally beneficial or required.
Right now the “pendulum” I was referring to is on the “left” side and will continue doing so until Obama leaves office as he thinks the constitution is just a piece of paper. As I said before, some of us don't/won't like the direction but it can only happen IAW the "Will of the People". When enough of us don't like the direction, it will change.
I wouldn’t call our President and representatives evil as they are just doing what the majority elected them to do. But I can’t wait until the “pendulum” starts moving right again!!
I agree with you that socialism and communism are suppressive and downright evil. And thanks for protecting this country!!!!
I appreciate your view and yes I did read your statement coherently. Why do you think I am not calm? I don't like that assumption. I can be passionate about a topic and be calm.
I agree with a lot of what you are saying here. Yes the key is finding the right balance. I see your point about laws and rules being the foundation of oppression. I agree with you to a point like I have already stated. Many laws and rules are oppressive. We have allowed our government to make rules and laws that are oppressive. Our founding fathers did not want to see this. I don't think the Constitution is oppressive, do you? It protects freedoms, liberties, and rights. That is what I mean. I am all for protecting the rights and liberties of others....not suppressive laws. I want to protect the right of a child and stop sexual molestation if I know it is happening. Laws against sexual molesters, those that do harm to others, etc are not suppresive in my opinion. They protect the god given rights of human beings.

I am confused....you say the founding fathers drafted the Constitution as a guideline.....then you say Mr. Obama thinks the Constitution is just a piece of paper....well it is just a piece of paper if it is just a guideline. It is much more than that in my opinion. It is the foundation of this nation. To me it is the gospel of this nation.
We are obviously on the same team here....with some minor philosophical differences. Laws in this country are supposed to protect our rights, not protect the interest of big government and suppress its citizens....yes, that is happening now and it is happening more and more. The laws of this land are supposed to ensure that we are not suppressed and protect our rights...not give criminals, nor bureaucracy, nor special interest, nor Al Gore, etc, etc power over the people of this United States.
I appreciate your opinions, but I am convinced Obama is an evil man and I am convinced many lefties are also. I have studied many of their backgrounds extensively.
