LOL He's on here WAY more than most of the moderators combined..even the days he's gone for a while. LOL
But on a more serios note..he was gone last week for a couple stretches ( a few hours at a time) as he had serious family issues that he had to deal with. It's not my place to elaborate on that.

If someone could do a search (I'm at work and I don't have the time) for a thread a while back, about 8 months or so, we were talking about this same subject exactly.
The funny thing is, back then I was willing to pay for this site and so were most of the folks who responded because it WAS well run and not overly moderated or un-necessarily censored.
Now that it has lost a great deal of it's personality and most senior members it's really becoming a joke.
I am no longer interested in giving them one fuc**ng penny to log on an be pissed about another cutsie, stupid addition Christopher has deemed necessary for OUR forum.
The speed, or lack of is directly related to all the stupid crap you flung on the site. There's no way to deny it...
It was faster before you **cked it all up.
I don't give a fat flying Fu*k how important he feels he is.
It's the input and technical suggestions from the members that made this site what it used to be.
I'll be hanging out with a huge influx of former Snowest forum members over at http://backcountryrebels.com/index.php for now.
It's damn fast and there doesn't appear to be any as**oles trying to turn it into Twitter or facebook or any other teen site.
Oh, and Christopher...Get a sack and answer this thread.

i'll pay to not have to go that lonely site the first posts referred to.
not one arctic cat for sale on that site. good luck selling your old sleds. a bunch of canadian trail riders. 6 people looking at the whole site. nice try. snowest has been good to us and if I have a great truck that needs a little repair money, i fix it and smile. i dont go looking for a new truck.

It's not as big as Snowest is .....Yet, but give it time.
I think 6 is a little bit of an understantement.

Since Christopher has taken over I have tapered off my time on here, its nothing against him, its just that it seems like I dont care for the changes. If they want to start charging money, I will for sure see what they have to offer and at what price, then make a decision.

Put the forum back the way it was in 2001.
according to his post in the subforum section, soon there will be a member activation module, which i assume wil mean when you pay your bill you will be able to interact with the site

I did a "WHOIS" search and discovered BCR is barely ONE WEEK old.
So it's likely there could be some light usage on BCR until the word gets around more.
BTW, anybody can do a "Whois" search for ANY web address, its public information.
I deleted some info, but it clearly shows the site was created on Nov. 5th, 2009.

I don't access SW that much any more since it has become a teenage chat room. The new e-mail function keeps me on the topics I have interest in and subscribed to. Dootalk better serves my tech interests and yes I just subscribed to Back Country Rebel to check it out and register my name.
Hopefully BCR will attract more serious subjects and keep the BS to a minimum.

The speed couldn't have anything to do with SW having 1400+ active users at one one time, and BCR having 78? That's just how many are on SW in the middle of a weekday, vs how many have ever been on at once at BCR. Now, I know, BCR is new, it will most likely grow, and it's performance will fall as it does.
As for there not being anyone there trying to do stuff you don't like, give it time. As has been said, it's only a week old...
