Unless there is some other Major benefit to being a SW member besides access to this site and offering up help and info to others, I'll be gone no question. And I might still because of the principle of the matter.

A lot of us bring a lot to the table here and that will be lost if you make us pay to share.

I would be one of the ones who would pay, ONLY if I didn't have to wait 30-45-60 seconds for a thread to load. The pace would have to pick up greatly.

The operators of SW need to check out www.pirate4x4.com and see how it is run. One of the best run forums on the internet if you want my opinion.

That's EXACTLY what I told another moderator. I am a member there and at Pirate's other site www.jkowners.com and both sites are great. You get a "star" if you're a paying member that entitles you to some special things and vendors have giveaways for paying members.

Pay or no access = FAIL

I cancelled my Snowest sub. due to the fact that I either never got the mag, it came with sections missing, or it came a month late. Since they kinda sucked at the whole magazine delivery thing, and that is the core business, I'd have a hard time paying for this site.

Thanks to all those who posted options. I'm off to register at other sites.

i've said this in every thread about this subject:

I've dumped enough money into Snowest sponsors coffers over the last 3 years it could have run this site for a year off the revenue generated.

If they expect me to, on top of that, pay money to in effect fork over money to their sponsors, I'll find a new site.
