We will be there

Wife and I are coming over from the east side, snow show is always a good time, great to see so many people excited about snowmobiling. Not really looking for anything this year just the deals that are too good to pass up.

Stop by I-90 Motorsports and check out all our new products!

Stop by our I-90 Motorsports Women's booth and check out all the new ladies gear! This is a first time for this and we hope everyone likes it! — at Puyallup Fairgrounds.
We will also have used sleds just inside the gate!
We will also have our main booth just inside the front door with all the new coolest parts and accessories!

You shouldn't have much of a problem finding a trailer and/or sled deck.Start out in the blue lot First..just East of the main entrance!!

Well this year was a bust. Slim pickings for sure if you were in the market for a used deck or enclosed trailer.:face-icon-small-sad Lots of other cool stuff to look at but not what I drove 8 hours for though.

Wow, I thought there were a lot of used sleds in the blue lot? Walked through the inside a little, not as much as I would like to but had sleds for sale and kids made it time to go home.

Thanks to 2TheTop for taking the sleds down early and watching kids (honorary uncle for the day :)) ! Thanks Wendell fr keeping us company.

Guess I get a back-up to the back-up!!!!!!!!

And will pick up the Ace next week!!!!!!!!!!

Bring on the snow-magedon! (got a good snow blower today too)

Ya, lots of sleds in the blue lot, curious how many actually sold, doesn't really matter, the one that I was selling sold, just curious.:face-icon-small-hap Now if I was a Polaris guy on a budget, well Powderminer has a great Pro Dragon that would make somebody really happy for a decent price, just sayin' if you're in the market it's worth a look, can't believe it didn't sell.:face-icon-small-sho

had my last day of coho fishing today, is the snow show worth going to on Sunday or is everything pretty much sold out, only really need the new style scratchers?

Snow Show, Good not great!

Ok got to say, could not believe how few people were there! Saw some really good deals and others well lets just say, they are bringing the sleds back home. Lets talk about KLIM! everywhere! You now have reach the point that you are pushing yourself out of the market! At least 30% to 40% over price on most everything you are selling now! I am a KLIM supporter, and have spent $$$$$$ on all their products. I-90 great job on putting on the first all women's booth area for women's clothing lines. Warning to all men bringing your wives or girlfriends STAY AWAY!!!! It will cost you plenty! Where was YAMAHA? New Viper? Or more BS the mag's are telling us about all the great things Yamaha is doing and what, SNUB! WSSA Snow Show? Feel bad for the blue riders. Saw lots of friends and did enjoy as I have for many years, and again, spent to much, well the wife in the women's booth. And THANK YOU WSSA! for putting on the snow show and just 364 days tell the next year:face-icon-small-coo

It's cause the first batch of the new Vipers that came out of A.C's plant FAILED Yamaha's very tight QC. Mmmmm

Can you say PROTOTYPE!!!!! This is the 3rd or 4th largest show on the west coast! and you can't show us your newest and greatest sled? 1st of 5 in the next 5 yr's. Way to go Yamaha in showing us that your going to support your snow mobile buyers, lets all snow check and not see anything until it shows up at the dealerships for just a mere 10 grand plus! well maybe.:face-icon-small-con

And would say great job yamaha for not letting a sub par product out to its customers no matter how much people want to see them. Other wise the yamaha thread would end up looking like some of the threads in AC/polaris sections!

I agree! I'd rather see tight quality control than rush out a sub par product...

I agree with you guys on this, but we all know the prototypes are not what we see in the dealerships. The MFG's always tweak a little here and there before production. That sucks for team blue, still missing at the show???? I was disappointed that they were not there, just like checking out all the new sleds from all the MFG's

Mixed Emotions

I have been to the snow show every year for the past 10 or so years and this year was probably the biggest disappointment. It's always great to run into old friends and get excited about the coming season. However I think it is time that WSSA does something about the "Blue Lot". I know many people love the swap meet outside before the show, as I have in the past. But this added bonus is killing the main show slowly. Did everyone see all the empty spots inside? I have talked to dealers and vendors that are "boycotting" the snow show because it basically is not worth their time. It costs a dealer/vendor a lot of money to pack everything up in a trailer, buy a booth, setup and show their wares only to sell a few products. Many of them just have an open house or a "sale" in lieu of this, mainly because they feel that everyone has spent their wad before they even enter the blue gate. Also, it used to be that once inside, you could find some screaming deals. Doesn't seem to be that way anymore. No last year closeouts etc. So how do we fix it? The only thing I can think of is to eliminate the parking lot swap, lower the price to setup a booth inside and get everything together as one. Do other trade shows have parking lot swapmeets? or do they include their swapmeet as part of the main show. This show seems to be on a steady down hill and something needs to be done to stop it. This show is a very important aspect of our industry and needs to be salvaged. WSSA is one of the leading fighters of saving our riding areas in our state and this is their main fund raiser.
OK my rant is over, does anyone else have any better ideas? I would love to hear 'em?????

I'm going today. Had football and the Seattle auto show on the list yesterday. Maybe bigger turnout on Sunday since the Seahawks already played.

So what are the good new DVDs to get this year? Anything else not to miss?

As far as the show being on the decline, I don't have enough years of it to guage. I've only been going for 4 years. I don't ever really see great deals in the blue lot OR in the actual show (I've found a few here and there, but on the whole you really have to hunt). This is ok though, because I value having such a huge selection in one place rather than having to drive everywhere. It's also a good time to ask questions about sleds and gear without being hounded for sales. My guess is that if you didn't have an official blue lot an unofficial one would spring up somewhere and you wouldn't capture any of the revenue.

NOT BASHING!!!!

Have you checked the real economy?? The one of self employed and small business??
The people who like to work outside the box are being taken out of the loop to kill the last independence in this country.. These are the same people who like to buy the big ticket items and,, unless you give into the system and fall in line with the current dictatorship you will find yourself not able to make a decent living.. Like I said above, NOT BASHING but when I can cruise through a parking lot, see something I like to mod the current sled instead of spending twice just to start over and have to mod from there,, I will cruise the parking lot

It is weird that the dealers come down with three trailers and park in the blue lot?

You will have guys bringing sleds down on their decks and parking in the parking lot anyway.

Would be nice to have a discussion on how to efficiently and easily get inside... also easier for the consumer to get in to pick up sled.

Some of us taking our sleds home don't mind taking them home. Sometimes a sled is valued by what it is worth in my garage! Others are what a guy/gal needs at the moment. Some sleds deserve to be held onto, and become that 1981 Panther under the tarp behind the cabin :face-icon-small-ton

I think you are sorta correct, but if the blue lot swap was moved inside with a lower price to sell your stuff, who wouldn't be for that. Open the gates at 9:00 instead of 10:00. If you wanted to see some early bird specials, get a spot inside. If an unofficial swap meet popped up, they would only be hurting themselves. What's wrong with supporting the people that fight for "US".
Heck, I saw brand new sleds for sale in the blue lot yesterday. Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? I talked to one guy yesterday (don't know who he was), but he said to limit the price of anything in the blue lot to $2500 or something. That's a different approach.
Thanks for the input...anyone else???

Always great to see the new products though, but it seemed like there were 5 booths that looked identical to everyone else's (same products, same prices and no room to look at anything).

Hey guys,
It's cheaper to sell inside the fair grounds, I know guys who are setting up in the parking lot both days and also paying to get in both days, thats 100.00. for 65.00 you can set up Friday afternoon keep your stuff out for the weekend and sell something on friday night, Sat, and Sun. and get in the grounds for the weekend and get wrist bands for 10.00 each for a couple friends that are helping you out. And the attendance was down from other years for a few reasons I think, opening hunting weekend. (for guys that cant shoot a bow) just kidding. Edmonton, BC show same weekend. and a lot of guys talking on here but not joining the WSSA and helping out.

Don't see the big deal with the blue lot, you still have to pay $40 a rig and then still have to pay to go inside so I don't see the issue with the money. The inside swap was definitely sparse this year. Our group put together a trailer of parts to sell in the parking lot this year and we did real well, but stuff was priced to sell. I don't think any of us would have done this if we had to get a spot inside. With the blue lot you can come and go as you please, it's not so crowded, and no one is going to tell you to put away the bbq and beer. Anyways this has been the most enjoyable snow show I've been to in the last 10 years or so.
