SHR880 Challenge - bring it.

I live very close to Slim. Can I bring my slightly modded pro just for fun? Or is this a ski-doo only ride. Sounds like a good time.

I think its great to see a Pro as well. Common guys its all about riding and how the sleds perform, Stones come second.I already know how the SHR/Trygstad will unfold, I have 880,s of both builders and will be more interested in seeing a good running Pro and how she runs.

If I made HALF the excuses you guys are making (after SHR getting called out) the minions would have a field at my expense ...

Some of you don't get it...

"Can you on your sled beat me on mine"

Nothing new

Something we ALL doo everyday on the hill...

After getting thrown under the bus (here, websites, on the phone, personal attacks) I CHOOSE to not sit quietly...

Several posts already prove a lot...

Not losing one second of sleep...BJ ?

John this isnt the first time you guys have done something like this "calling out". Look through your history on SW and you have made habit of bad mouthing other builders and dealers sleds. What I find funny is you do so on the hear say of your customers. What's evenmore comical is the fact in your calling out, you always want people to come to you.

Once again find me a post where someone is directly bad mouthing your build?

I'm not quite sure where this bad mouthing came from, I probably wasn't paying attention to the bickering, and I shouldn't be getting involved.
But anyway after reading all this what do you engine builders think? I think this engine challenge should be done on a dyno at a unbiased shop with customers sleds. IMO I could care less if 1 builders engine makes 2-3 hp less than the other, it's how many reliable miles that engine will make. Engine building is one thing, sled setup is another.
I'm really curious, I don't have a BB etec. Let's see some dyno sheets!! There has to be a rktec, shr and trygstad customer out there willing to try this. Is anyone up to this? Someone started all this who willing to end it?

What's even funnier is they want to "call people out" and make there own rules...Perhaps only the SHR guys should attend there own challenge that way they can proudly say I told you nobody else would showed up.

Why not simply invite everyone who wishes to run their sled. Clean and Simple. They will all end up at the end of a cold beer at days end,Quit the trash talk and and have a good day on the hill!.....

That way hey can stand around and High five each other then give themselves pats on the back for a job well done!:second:

If your confident about your BB you should perhaps take your BB to where ALL the other BB run and thats at and event weather that be a drag race or a hill climb.

This sound more like a riding contest rather than who's BB is the fastest.

I thought the rules were quite simple - "If you want to run your builders BB against my SHR880 BB come and get some" it's a non sanctioned event in the backcountry where many ride.

For some reason this whole thing has been derailed.....almost seems purposely derailed.....but why is the question?

I thought it was simple - 'can you on your sled beat me on mine?':horn:

Thanks Sledsrock. That's what I thought this was supposed to be, but after all the bickering I thought I must have missed something and Slim had somehow stated the exact venue, what hills, distances, elevation and every other thing that could somehow be controlled to ensure he would win.

LOL, you guys are funny. I would be curious to know where you see the "friendly" in the first two posts? BJ and Slim have done this same thing before.........OLD hat for them

What strikes me as funny is how many people can get so butt hurt over some keyboard racers on this forum. If your shop does good work, then great, your customers experience it, and tell their friends, your business grows! Perfect!
This forum shouldn't be dictating your mood when you wake up in the morning. Even if you sleep like a log....be happy your customers are happy. Be happy you know your worth.

To hell with all the naysayers....are we in grade school and have to prove ourselves because some smart*ss on the internet said my work isn't as good as somebody else's?
We are grown men, and to expect a reply from those from the earlier thread is ridiculous. They are sitting back and laughing that they got you guys all wound up. This forum is a small corner of a segment in the snowmobile world. If your livelihood/ego hinges on what idiots on here say.....then there's bigger issues at hand.

I'm all for a Fairview/Big Iron/Big Dawg type of event. Run what ya brung no matter what it is. We got a 880 that is claiming to wipe the hill with turbo's of any displacement, so no matter what you show up with, I fully expect to hear that Slim tuned you all up. Come one come all!

Rules?

Can you on your sled beat me on mine ?

2.5 tracks, BB,XM,XP,REV
Slim/scrat will drive 3/4 hours to ride with you...
No power adders like turbos, NOS, 3" tracks

I see I'm making it real difficult...???

Sledsrock,

It's clearly getting derailed on purpose...

I'm surprised the ones who "talk the talk" can't "walk the walk"....

If SHR was called out and I gave half of these LAME excuses....

Clearly some are way better "key board" riders/tuners than....

Sigh...And I'm the bad guy....BJ

bj and slim

im a 880 guy at heart and always will be hands down, and I know your motors bj have the power to win, but will say this

you need to have the same setup as per chassie, because there is sleds in Canada with 872s in them that will go higher... hands down

they are extremely light and run 174 three inch tracks, and setup is dead on perfect, with technology in the chassie that gives them the edge

make the race fair and have them in two similar setup sleds, over the coarse of riding in a day and climbing, it will become evident what one stands out:whoo:
