SHR880 Challenge - bring it.

I think if your client base is predominately novice, inexperienced tuners providing clutching and gearing is crucial. On the other hand if your client base is predominately experienced racers and tuners providing clutching and gearing info may not be so crucial.

Sled Head Racing, nobody is throwing you under the bus . You came on here made the challenge and much to your own doing you called people out...Curious to know how many of your BB kits are in use with RMSHA riders ?

A little history...

This post is directly related to the "hassles" I have encountered with several key board jockeys/minions of a certain shop...over the years...

NOW its time to put their money where their mouth is...

Its simple...in "MY" world you need to walk the walk if your going to talk the talk...only ones in JR high here are the ones already whining...the men are talking about going riding.

There are 2 CUSTOMERS of mine with my motors...neither of which I have touched or ridden...sooooooooooooooooooo

Can you on your 872 sled beat slim/scratley on his 880 sled???

Hoping for similar conditions as the star valley video...go out and ride...and see whats what...and at the end of the day have a beer/burger...I only see one guy wanting to go out and have some fun...the rest???

I could bring MY sled but then it really wouldn't be fair...especially since I'm just a "hack" "parts changer"....BJ

snengineer...sorry no cage fights, that's not the point here at all...

**sorry, no rmsha motors (teams have called, I don't do motors for free just for a sticker on a hood) ...just good/hard running/reliable trail motors...last time I checked its mostly driver anyway :face-icon-small-win

Here's what I see as fair. Go ride around for a couple hours and see which sleds everyone thinks work the best. You will know. Then find a hill that no one can climb over. Put the same guy on each of the sleds and put a mark on the hill. The sled that gets highest wins. That should be simple enough. Then go eat and get drunk and tell stories. That will be the fun part of the day.

BJ,

If you want to end this all YOU should take control of this and sponsor an event that is sanctioned with ISR tech and do a formal competition. Not behind this intenrnet forum BS... Take the customer out of it...

Just my 2 cents... This type of internet bs is no good for any of you builders... Just makes you look unprofessional to many of us older guys who have been around the block...

All nice guys,,, just for fun... Non-sanctioned event..
It's all fun until it's over ---- there's always a cheater!

Get real guys, any real comparison needs to be sanctioned and with a tech inspection. No way around it, period.

Agree with the post below... Use the event in crested butte where the real racers and tuners will be!

STILL beating around the bush...

Not what was PREACHED on here a couple months ago...

872 = king of the hill
ALL others = SUK

Wonder if I could get away with ALL this whining if I got called out???

Read the whole thread...there is 1 guy that's game, the rest..........you want a little cheese with your whine??

The DOUBLE standard is clearly alive and well...its OK to bash before, during and after and don't back up ANYTHING you say...kinda has a LIBTARD/DEM/OBAMMA voter smell to it...sigh...BJ

So seeing as how the people who seem to be involved are going to be Slim, Scratley and I (so far)..... Are you guys still good with meeting up in IP, or somewhere around IP, for a day in February? I will 100% for sure be in the area for 5 days. I can probably make another date work as well but it may not be until after my February trip.

Unless a pipeline blows up somewhere, I will be there... I would like to ride 3 days as well

Awesome. You are more than welcome to hang out with our group. Like I said before, we stay in West and then ride all around the area. It's always a good time.

Sounds good! It might just be me from Salt lake area.... Time will tell, would be great ride with you guys as well..

Sorry, been around the block longer than most (13+ years here, day one on DOO talk) and this is NOT BS...and this is exactly why I sell motors...so one guy can beat his buddy...no need for a ISR tech or formal competition...that's a cop out.

Snowest forums best line "can you on your sled beat me on mine?"

Hammer coined it over 10 years ago...still holds true today:horn:

my 2 cents...if you don't like a little "on the mountain comparison" similar to the SNOWEST deep powder challenge...then I don't know what to tell you?

-BJ

So have you personally owned or tuned slims or scratley's sled or did they build them on their own... Like a normal customer?

Even the SW deep snow challenge has drag race runs with posted radar results, techs on hand for clutching and setup and I believe one year even had a Dyno on hand posting Dyno results.

We all run slightly different setups.... I run a different ramp, john has never owned mine or slims... Slims is an etech new this yr... Mine has 1500 miles on it

yes, its been years since the dealers brought dealer prepped sleds...they haven't done that since the 2006 shoot out I believe...unless SW editors are considered "techs" now (LOL)...the sleds are picked up at the dealer and rode...yes, radar to get specific numbers and yes they weighed them at the end...nothing more...heck, the last 3 years they don't even use the radar...its just "opinion" now...

I'm sure part of said "call out" will include drag racing UP a certain hill or 2 and or a high mark or 2...JUST like ANY day on the mountain...

KMCP...I stated several times these are customer sleds...I haven't put 1 piece of duct tape on either...BJ

BJ I have a CHALLENGE for you. Find me one just one post that someone says a SHR motor doesnt run well and is slow!

I know there are posts about people's opinions about the 880 and 860 bore size and why Trygstad doesnt like them. But, I do not believe there is one post that someone says one of your motors is slow?

Sled Head Racing, i see that you balance cranks as well as clutches do you do this in house ? I used to do this on my SC and XP and it help considerable back when the TRA had issues. Since the XM clutching is superior to SC and XP balancing might not even be an issue. What your thoughts and how much do you charge. There used to be a machine shop in Utah that used to this but I don't believe there around anymore.

im in, 872 here

although im not a s**t talker about these engines, Im in! but i am 6'4"/260(in my bikini) any takers? we will need to tie some weights to slim to even the odds. lol!...... i have another unfair disatvantage tho, i have tall bars! By all rights, (they say), this could slow my track speed down! we will need to raise his bars, and make him as beautiful as myself! Fair is fair! just sayin'
