Try and minimize the whining. And.... Well respected by you, not me. Those two are actually more self-absorbed than you are, so there....I said something nice about you. And its funny you sayin i can't let something go, and then bring up my conflict with the 2 alleged well respected members however long ago, seems similar eh.

PS ; I like the etecs, but .... they have some issues, like the rest of em.

And I am the 3rd and FredW is the 4th and so on and so on. Two things it could be

1. You take these forums way to seriously and are in need of some help.

2. Your just that type of guy to take it upon urself to belittle people and actually enjoy it, which needs more counseling.

So lets do every 4M member a favour and just drop this.:focus:

im still waiting to see a video of this new 15? or whatever less hp sled spanking a etec summit over and over on a steep hill:)
because it wasnt very close to my old stock clutched 09.

I'd like to see a video of you riding a sled... I think we're All interested. Are you part of team thunderstruck? That's all those guys do is steep climbs.

Tight technical tree riding the pro will walk all over an etec. Same skilled riders on each.

a 155 pro has less track on the ground than a 144 doo track due to the width, and we all know the smaller the track the easyier to handle, so it should handle better, but be a trencher from hell in the deep

as for the same skilled riders running them both, i would put my money on the etec, o ya thats what we did last weekend:face-icon-small-win

all in all, pro is a nice sled, just not for me this year, maybe next year, latter

155x15 = 2325

144x16 = 2304

I think you may have meant a 146

146x16 = 2336

It's not just the doo guys. Shall dig up the post by th moron who said the xps couldn't even make it up , while poaching his pro tracks. And to top it off , his pro was only spinning 7700 yet it made the xp look like a 440.
I asked a major sled shop who makes parts for all three brand 800s. And he owns all three. According to him. The pro is in second place.

I am the moron and that is the truth it happened and im not brand loyal i ride what sled fits me the best. I have owned all the of major brands, i have a pro and have not been beat by a xp the e-tec was really close i wouldnt say i beat it nor it beat me the pwr-tecs haven't been close. Last weekend in crusty snow i got worked by an 07 rev i actually couldnt go in its tracks it wasnt stock though

my keyboard can kick your keyboard's fanny, so there!

WOW! A lot of keyboard highmarking going on in this thread!:lol:

It was late December 2010 and my sons and I were keyboarding in over 2 feet of freshies in the Cooke area. We had just finished shredding everything over by Wolverine as our 2011 PRO keyboards were running awesome.

It was such an awesome day what we even saw the rare XP keyboards were having no trouble carving meadow cookies.

On the way out, I spotted another XP keyboard, the rare white ETEC keyboard sideilling on to the left to go over Daisy. To those that don't know, this hill is a difficult hill to keyboard when it has lots of snow - it gets pretty steep at the top. Most mortal keyboarders have to back out and take the sally way out to the right of the trees. They also leave keyboard craters which make keyboarding extremely difficult below the crest.

It seemed to take forever but the ETEC keyboard finally made it out the top and I heard him shut it down.

Now it was my turn. I took the lower sidehill line with my PRO keyboard which means I had to maneuver an uphill sidehill to have a snowball's chance in heck to keyboard out the top. First I started out in a standard sidehill keyboard position, then had to perform the difficult goofy foot keyboard transition and then when all seemed lost and my keyboard ground speed went to near zero, I had to perform the hardest keyboard skill of all; the Fred Flintstone goofy foot pedal procedure. In keyboard terms, this involves CTRL/ALT/DEL/F3/NUM-LK/PAGE-UP/FN/ESC/INSERT/ENTER simultaneously.

I thought for sure my keyboard was going to stall and I was going to be outdone by the ETEC keyboard. Unbelievably, the Flintstoning worked and I made it to the harder snow on the vertical part of the RH side of the hill. The keyboard dug in and I made it over the top. It was awesome, I was finally at one with with my PRO keyboard.

Glancing to my right, I saw the 2011 ETEC keyboard with his processor side panel open, steam billowing from the panel opening. I sniffed my processor panel and I sensed no issues. On this day, my PRO keyboard outperformed the king of the hill ETEC keyboard.

Some people are just so stubborn arent they? I think that all that matters to the doo riders is what sled has more hp. They close their eyes to anything else and say no it isnt true. No matter how many facts are on the table, they refuse to believe.

hahaha.. this vid is great... defenitly sums up all of these VS threads... they are both great sleds in my mind.. its funny how ppl argue over things that are so stupid..i could care less whos sled will bet whos up the hill by a few feet.. at the end of the day im just happy i was out sledding.. these sleds are just way to close to argue about.. they both shine in there own way.. i bought a pro and am happy with it but im sure id be just as happy with the e tech after i got use to the riding style...

Does your story even make sense??? Now you are telling us the etec was really close , yet the carbed xp couldnt poach your track , and your sled was clutched like crap. Hmmm the carbed xp MIGHT make 5 hp less than the etec. Ya know , if a story sounds too stupid to repeat , dont repeat it. I can tell you stories about turbo sleds getting beat by stock sleds , shall i?? Or would that just be too stupid to do?? As anyone with a brain will know the turbo sleds were either not running right or maybe the turbo sled driver didnt know there was a race occurring. sj

Bwahahaha... now THAT was awesome!

So as far as keyboards go my mind is made up. But still undecided which sled to buy.

Remember the pine cone thread after the XP's first came out? :D

do you understand then that if they took the open end wrench out of their tool chest that comes with the sled, and adjust clickers from three to four(about a 5 minute job with a beer) that they would be back at the 8000 rpm

how does this make the entire trs a bad clutch, a bit sad to say the least

Fred, never said that it was a bad clutch. Just that it needs a little tinkering in the high altitude that we run in. For such a die hard Doo guy, it doesn't sound like you are too familar with your own set up. Ever set your clickers on 6? It may be pulling the r's but won't go anywhere. Like a mud bogger stuck in 1st gear. I would have to say if you talk to anybody out there that spends the time clutching with the TRA that if you can get your sled to pull 8100+ or so on cliker 2 or 3 it will be much better (with stock ramps installed)....just saying. P.S. Suck it

Could be wrong but I'm almost positive nobody has accused him of being intelligent.

so your saying because the belt was so hot that it was a clutching issue, and this was the culprit because of the primary, i think if you run over to the doo fourm it has been proven over and over that lack of cooling is the culprit rather than any other

if your not smart enought to put no air vents in, remove foam, cut some plastic, then this will be your outcome, and this goes for your pros as well(common sense item)
ask any dealer

nothing wrong with your clutching but your clutches get smokeing hot? i mean iam no genius but smoking hot clutches is from lack of clutching or alignment. Putting a buttload of vents is just a bandaid, clutch till they run as cool as you can get them, then throw some vents on
