Pro RMK vs. Ski Doo XP

this is what makes me laugh the hardest, to even get to within 20 feet of the Pro you need to spend another $300 bucks on clutching after you just spend $11+ or more on a new Doo. I really wish I knew of someone around here with an e-tech and an open mountain with no tracks on it, I bet the Pro man handles that Doo with ease:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-hap

best of all is you can cook a nice meal on the clutches of the Doo after a few good pulls. I wouldnt try cooking an egg on them though as they will cook to fast.

just bought my 2010 xp for 9500. came with Roosterbuilt clutching:kiss:

stock clutching is not as bad as it was in 08. but clutching is just putting the power to the ground. stock horse power. you know the part that polaris shorted yall on. maybe its the fuel mapping their worried about:face-icon-small-dis? hmmmm i smell a melt down:kiss::pop2:

the only thing melting down is the doo belts. the mapping seems to work and these 20hp shy sleds are doing as good as your doos, explain to me why they are even close? why polaris can get a 39 inch wide sled to handle as good or better than the skidoo at 36? why does the xp washout before the pro?

enough said....ETEC eating belts

granted I havent had a belt issue with one XP I have owned, but several do. I still cant understand after 4 years of this chassis that there are still belt issues. Its reasons like this that I would rather give my money to Polaris instead of Skidoo.

Im might be going to blackfoot in a couple weeks, I'll bring my Etec. Just need a tour guide :)

give your son the gift of Rooster built clutching for his xp and you will sell your Poo

you debunked your own test...sleds are supposed to be bone stock...period..big advantage clutching one and not the other...so...either put yours back to bone stock and retest..or find someone with a well clutched pro to run you..other wise..didnt happen....sled I ran against was bone stock...11 etec 163...with just over 300 miles on it...mine was bone stock pro 163..with only 20 mile ride into the hill we climbed.....wasnt even close....his sled was pulling 7900-8000..mine pulled 7900-8100........

There's one performance quality we haven't looked at.....

The number of SkiDoo faithful coming and preaching in the Polaris section about how great their machines are...

Are they trying to make Pro owners feel bad.... or make themselves feel good?

I love my Pro. I don't need to post in the Ski Doo section to like it any more than I already do.

Some of my buddies ride Ski Doo, if they like them and they work for them....WTF do I care what they ride?.....

I still get to ride my PRO.

you love it or you wouldnt read it.:)
back to the pro spankins.my old stock clutched beeter xp stomps the pros silly and it aint even close.why i ask.is it the pro 700 hp,skinny baby track and wider rear trail friendly running boards that high center in the deep stuff causing it to trench to china?.:)

dude..sorry, but real world results say different....time to take your doo out of the parking lot and get it on real snow....

I like a good debate, and this thread is titled "Pro RMK vs. Ski Doo XP" not "this is why my Pro is the best". Not trying to pee in your cereal just pointing that out :face-icon-small-win

Also, I am suprised the issue of break in hasnt been brought up. My Poo was broke in after 1 tank of fuel, and according to the dealer my Doo has 40% left in break in mode when we hooked it up to the computer. If I am correct it takes 120 Liters (31.7 Gallons) until the Doo releases its full HP (only runs 75% now), I am no where near that! So maybe there will be better comparisons once everyone has been able to put some seat time on their new sled and finish thier break in. Rep is open for business :)

LOL....the last thing this sled does is trench.....

Polaris did a great job clutching the pro with the power they make......Doo has not clutched anything right the last 5 years or more. but they know how to make a motor with power. maybe this comparison should be with the e-tech only,,,, since it is fuel injected too. after some clutch work the powertech doo flat out pulls your arms out of the sockets, i would like to ride a pro after the clutching is dialed in perfect, but i dont think it will pull quite as strong,, and dont know how much better the clutching can get... Just posting my results. I could really give a Fack, but that is easy to say after you have put the throttle to the bars on a Roosterbuilt clutched xp:face-icon-small-win:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;

It's nice that your $10,000.+ Pro doesn't require a few more hundred right off the bat to get the clutching right. Not sure what Doo's problem is but I will say this, with the clutching taken care of, I sure like mine!!
