Official 07-08 Whistler Pemberton snow report

I am trying to plan a trip to whistler in the spring, I'm guessing that there will still be snow in april or may? Would we be better off staying in whistler or in pemberton? To ride on the pemberton icecap will we need a guide? I just need some more information about riding in the area before we make room reservations. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Had a great day up Noel yesterday with newtrout. Good thing fordy and gravy didn't come or it would of rained. I guess those AC boys are afraid to come up and get spanked by those POS XP's.

Thanks, Ray. Great ride. Cory says thanks, that was the best day of riding of his life.

We went back up on Sunday and found out where all the snowboarders hang out. I'm pretty sure we stumbled on a new route of yours, also. I can't imagine anyone else put it in..... Nice.

Was up the Rutherford on Sunday. I have never seen the trail groomed so well. The wind was blowing gale force up top and the amount of blowing snow was incredible. Rode up to Whistler Hellisledders base, his trailer which sits on top of 2 shipping containers was buried under 2' of snow. His snowcat was totally buried and if it wasn't for the probe sticking out you would have no idea it was there. I have never seen the crevasses covered so well should be a long season as long as there is access:)

so do think secret 3 has a wind loaded slope??? LOL you go first, if you make then I will think about it!!!!

Actually the way the wind was blowing it was probably scoured.

Was up zippermouth creek to the 100 lakes plateau today. Even with the wind we had on Sunday it was still light and fluffy back there. What an awesome area. Was riding with a neighbor and his friend who was on a AC. He melted his piston but was able to limp out. Got the new belt on the XP and is it ever running good.

Pemberton is way cheaper, but Whistler is a party town so it depends on what you are looking for. If you really want to see the Icecap you need a guide. There will still be snow in May.

Thanks, any recommendation for places to stay in pemberton?

See RGMs website, above. The Pemberton Valley Lodge is very nice, but a little pricey. Lots of B&Bs in the area. If you want a real tour of the ice cap , and you want to get away from the crowds, there is nobody better than Ray (RGM).

Anyone riding Feb 14 through the 17th at all? I have heard that area is nice.

I am new to Edmonton and I am looking to finally get over to BC to do some riding. Problem is the few guys I know who ride usually bail on me, or work different schedules.

Anyone let a new guy join a group?

REV2XHEART - I'm sure I'll be riding. Shoot me an e-mail through the website and we'll try to set something up for ya.
MTN_RIDER08 - There are only a couple of outfits that are allowed to guide on the pemberton icecap. I'm sure Ray or myself would show you an experience of a lifetime - DEFINITELY a must do for any Mtn. sledder.
Check out my tour the other day

And no, the heli wasn't for my XP!

great snow for exploring today, made ourselves way the heck back near the harrison hut, didn't know exactly where it was but when I got home and plugged in some GPS points, turns out we were quite close!

Anyone know what's past there? We took a left down into some trees(Headed up from ryan lake, then stay right going up, then down, then up then down, curve left, down, more left, down and down haha), fuel was low so we didn't want to go further. Looked on google earth but couldn't tell to well
