Keep your Pro...

Why cant we see a video of a Pro in the same conditions...
These snow conditoins are really hard to ride in...
I woluld like to see the same riding, in the same conditions, but with i Pro, and see if that sled i so easy to handle like you say...

You will, me and treedocker are heading up Monday to ride and I will get as much footage for you unbelievers

You Ski-Doo guys sure are a sensitive bunch that's why I put this in the Pro section I knew you couldn't handle the truth...:face-icon-small-hap

Thanks Tree Boss. I am gonna trade my '11 XP on a new sled this spring. My Doo dealer will give me the best deal on a new XM, but I really want to go with the '13 Pro. I have a '12 Retro Pro also, and I absolutely love it. If the XM handles anything like the XP, Im not interested. I don't have an opportunity to ride an XM this spring, so I appreciate your input.

Drew- you just drank too much Polaris koolaide!! haha! Looks like you guys got worse weather than we did. We had bright sunshine all morning. I really enjoyed the sled though.

I know you can ride so the video is what it is, but I know you could have held those lines on that sled without letting it go. The little polaris devil on your shoulder made you do it.

If I could snowcheck it would definitely be the XM and I would like to follow you on your 2013 PRO. Both sleds are AWESOME!! Can't go wrong with either one so I don't know why people get all crazy one side or the other. I just like the "feel" of the Doo better.

My sled is put away for the year. Have to catch up with you for a ride next to see what the 2013 is doing!:face-icon-small-hap

pro is a IQ with new plastic.yawn.

lol

do you really have to put both feet on one running board to get the xm to carve?

on the rmk you can leave your feet on both running boards and carve. this picture is my 3rd day on the sled, with about a foot of snow on the ground, not a foot of fresh, a foot period. i could see grass where i rode.

XM is still an XP chassis with bandaids. When the outsides of the track rips off from flexing and its down to about 14 inches maybe it will carve like a pro.LOL! Still the front suspension issue, the XP definately give feedback in marginal snow. Don't see the changes made fixing that issue. I guess being used to it you dont notice it as much but coming off a different machine you do, and although you can get an XP to do what a pro will, its not as easy. Hope the XM works out, the E-Tec needs a respectable home.

I used the bandaid gig with my buddies and they flipped out. Called me every name in the book. Started world war 3. It was bad, lol, but its true.

Not bashing the Doo, Its a good sled, just doesnt handle as easy as a pro. Thats why people fall off the first time they ride one, because it takes less efffort to ride the pro. Its just works better in most conditions. I would like to ride the XM to see for myself how it rides. As for you's that are spanking your buds on the hills, its because your a better rider, Doesnt matter what you are on. For that fact I out rode my buds this year on their new XP's with my 2008 IQ rmk 700, Its the rider and his abilities.

that is very true. i love when guys say they spank thier buddies, it means nothing unless you guys are equal riders. 99.9% of the time that is not the case.

So it sounds like the XM will be the machine to have on more open slopes and straight pokes. But for real riding you should have a PRO. Just what I thought.

these pics show the difference between brands.doo guy looks cool getting a utimate carving rush.
other getting a trail sitter pro wedgie:)

Come on blowmobiler, no doo rider looks cool.

Besides, if the pro rider did the same move on level ground like that, with both feet on one side, he would probly just flop over.

It's not a personal attack. Just an opinion.

What's the point of a demo ride if I'm not going to ride it how I ride my Pro??? If I'm gonna think about spending $11,500 you can bet your sweet butt I'm gonna ride it like my sled and not play in the meadows, thinking I'm going to back off a bit is crazy talk
Makes sense to me. Ride it to meet your expectations!:sun:
I think after watching the video we all have to remember these cameras don't do justice. The riding is more difficult than the camera portrays. I can see Tree Boss is an experienced rider, and I could sense he was getting a little frustrated with the sled IMO. For me, being an experienced flat land trail rider trying to have fun in the mountains, the Pro RMK seems to be a rider friendly sled.
I know at least two riders that were in the Cooke City videos that jumped from Ski-doo to the Pro RMK when the 2011's came out. I consider these people to be extremely good riders and I respect their opinions. $.02:face-icon-small-hap

The pics show that its just easier on a pro, and that means it just works better!!! So when conditions get tight and technical the Pro shines over the doo. Alot of people will love the XM, alot wont, If you personally are happy with it then thats all that matters.
