IS it a bad thing when the motor makes a funny noise and seizes ???

I think it is only a bad thing if the motor DOESN'T make a funny noise before it seizes.

I know of one guy that left his running to "burn out" the chip, that doesn't exist, until it seized. HELLO!!!!

talked to the dealer and he pulled the head and found rod bearing peices,,BOOM--new motor the first of the week,,BRP said its the first one to go,,Aint i the lucky one...oh well we'll have the new mill and be on the snow again next weekend,,,BRP said leave it together and send it in..

Well that is good to know. I would think a bearing failure is more to do with assembly or faulty part not a design problem. At lease it's not a Bring Rings & Piston (BRP) problem either

poor shock tuning
motor cut out when pinned { we had to fix cause the dealer didnt have a clue and we talked to slp to find out what was wrong.
clutching not right again we fixed not the dealer..
rear suspension sucks on the trail.
seat sucks on the trail...have i got your attention yet..not the all perfect sled..
08 dragon , not enough out there to see if they have any problems..

Hey T/A make that 9,999 on the snow. Sorry to hear about that it sucks no matter what brand you ride. Hopefully the rest of the year goes better for you.
