tell me oh wise one..how do i adjust the front shocks???? nobody within 90 miles of here has the equipment to doo this,,,and i have been on 4 different dragons this winter and they all act the same ..can the other 3 be set up like ours ???????????? if you like them so much just come down and buy this one >>

If you can't do this yourself, send them off to fabcraft, they will install reserviors to make them fully adjustable.

The bottom line is you can write a pretty damn good list of what's not ideal, for any and every sled ever built. They're all crap in that regard. Said it before and I'll say it again; if they built cars like they build sleds, "they" would all be in jail :)

In the end, it comes down to 3 catagories as far as setup and reliability:

1) Stuff that requires some tweaking/mods
2) Stuff that requires a trip to the dealer
3) Stuff that requires a tow strap

Try to pick the one with the least quantity of 2 and 3...go from there.

Boy there are a lot of people who get their panties in a wad on this thread. But back to the original post. Inquiring minds want to know. What happened???????

t/a what happened, was at cooke two weekends ago and their was an xp that blew on the second ride out, just wondering what's going on with them.

I have a 07 Dragon and love it, with none of the complaints mentioned except the shocks which can be fixed by adding resorvoirs. Never been to dealership w/1,000 miles on it!!!

Motor ???????? WHO Wants to know??

talked to the dealer and he pulled the head and found rod bearing peices,,BOOM--new motor the first of the week,,BRP said its the first one to go,,Aint i the lucky one...oh well we'll have the new mill and be on the snow again next weekend,,,BRP said leave it together and send it in..

Sorry TA thought you'd been at this a while! There are a lot of easy suspension adjustments-I gave you two. Drop the limiter strap one or two holes-get a longer strap if necessary; move the riser bar back like you did on your Doo so that you sit back more on the seat. Then you might need more preload on the rear springs. You can send the shock to a dealer that can adjust it-try Carl's Cycle in Boise or someone in Salt Lake. There are more things like the Zero's & Holtz but they cost so won't mention them. I don't know what those trips to your dealer cost in time & fuel but you are spending extra money on the sport like it or not.

It's ironic that you run down your only dependable sled every chance you get -if it's that bad do something about it. I found the stock suspension set up on the Rev bad last year for my taste/riding style but doubt anyone else is interested in that story.

Hope those old Polaris scars heal someday.
the problem with sending the shocks out is we loose riding time and what if it takes 2 or 3 times to get them right,, at 6 to 8 day to send them out its not worth it..you can do what you want with the limiter the shocks are still so weak they dive in the corners..have yet to ride one that didnt do that..2 -07's and 2 -08's do the same thing--haven tried the 800 dgn yet..maybe they get them right on that one..

I can't take it no more, I have to give you a hard time!

Well at least it will be sub 400#'s without the motor, maybe you should see how many lbs that drops!

J/K Bummer on the sled hopefully they get you back on the hill.

T/A i believe the resivor that they are talking about is one from Fabcraft where you send your shocks in and they will put on the "Spring Rate Chamber" and recharge your shocks. They told us the shocks can be recieved, have the chambers put on, and sent back in the same day. So mainly you are waiting on shipping.

We will be picking up a used 07 dragon tomorrow and will ride it this weekend to see how the shocks are and will decide if it will need the "Spring Rate Chambers" or not.

Ron,dropping the limiter won't help the problem,it's the way it rolls over on the front to the downhill side like every IQ RMK does as well as going into a corner.Dropping the limiter will also lead to trenching more which isn't what I would want!

Christ, how did a post about a locked up motor turn into a brand loyal battle? Ride what you like, and when the other brand gets towed out, poke a little fun at it, then hope karma doesnt get you next.
