FWIW, there is no power gained on the dyno from opening that hole, or removing the air filter...
What ever you do, do not run that sled without some sort of air filtration, you will destroy the turbo. Believe it or not snow dust will erode the compressor wheel....
havnt heard about the evo one. was thinking an alum Y off the stock plactic thing them carbon fiber tubes to boondocker filters where the stock intake comes up. and take out 95% of the plastic from under neith the hood
We'll have the 2 prototypes at Haydays - one on our sled, one for display. The intake produces 5 hp more than stock above 7900 rpms on the Big Chute/Super Chute.
Hi Jim,
Got pictures for us that cant make to Hay Days?

You are correct. The main restriction is the factory 90 that hooks to the turbo. Put a K&N directly on the turbo and people are seeing major gains on the track dyno. Put a K&N on the top of the factory 90 and it is no better than running through the factory system.
Flatlanders can run the filter down low with the sock on it. For mountain riding you probably need to get it up out of the snow through the hood.
