HORRIBLE END to a great day and a new sled…

I would also be going for a payment for diminished value. If I was shopping for a sled and found out it had that much repair work done to it, I'm walking away for sure.

If you can work that diminished value payment in, it might be enough to bump it up to totaled. I would also be asking the dealership what their estimated completed time is and see if you can get any compensation from insurance for the extended time (assuming it will take them a couple months).

Shop says the cost of the tunnel will push up the repair estimate another $3-4K
But that at the moment Ski-Doo is not showing tunnels as being an available part to order in.]

New sled?

Just as soon as the dealer gets the final price for a replacement TUNNEL from BRP we will know what the total is, and then see if it qualifies to be TOTALED or has to be REPAIRED.

So no answer on NEW sled or not.
As for the tie downs.

Being an insurance claim, the dealer has included every single little item that has even the slightest amount of damage on it.
I'd look for myself or ask them to show you what the hidden structural damage is. If it is something minor that you can live with, you could just forget about the insurance claim and replace the minimum necessary parts out of pocket. It may be less than your deductible (screen being the wild card). It all depends on your expectations, but personally I would rather have a useable sled with a few scuffs on it than have sit in the shop in pieces for the majority of the winter.

at a minimum the engine has to come out and the S-Mod has to be replaced.
The tunnel is twisted and you can see the wrinkles in it.
And everything from the screen up and gone.
