I've been follwing this thread and have a hard time understanding where people are coming from Yes, these guys are adults and can make their own decisions, we know this! I think what's wrong, is when people criticize what this group chose to do that day, like they were at the same location and chose not to touch the hill. Then in a post after the bashing, come back to ask questions about how they evaluated the situation to deem it "safe". Kind of contradicting IMO, maybe they should have asked why they thought it was safe to begin with then bash??? I find you get a lot more answers when you ask a question vs. telling someone they're "idiots" then cool off a while to then ask the questions...
I'm sure the group of riders have more experience on the hills then myself and many others, but there is always a risk when in the backcountry! No matter what precautions may have been taken before the final decision was made to attempt these climbs, there was still a risk big or small. I love the pictures and hope to see more, what i don't want to see is a post about this group having a slide and possibly a fetality!
